Email Flyers Greatly Improve Upon Traditional Paper Flyers

In years past, many businesses might have claimed that sending out good ol' paper flyers to their customers was a highly effective form of marketing. Just about every consumer can recall seeing their mailbox jammed with flyers or having a flyer stuck onto their car window. Some people might have read these flyers while others quickly tossed them aside. But from the business' (and marketers) point of view, enough people read (and often acted upon them) to make it an efficient and effective platform for spreading their promotional content.

The traditional paper flyer's time in the spotlight as a viable and effective marketing platform has, for all intensive purposes, come to an end. Paper flyers have been replaced by a new, environmentally friendly and far more effective platform.

The majority of businesses have made the switch to email flyers. Here are just some of the reasons why.

Many organizations have come to realize that, with email flyers, there is no need to hire an pricey designer and no need to incur expensive printing fees. Since most email flyer programs let the actual business owner, manager, or marketing team easily point-and-click their way to a professional eye-catching email flyer, the costs are dramatically lower. This also heavily decreases the amount of lead time required to launch an email flyer campaign.

In the past, the marketer would have needed to factor in all the design, printing and distribution time. Now with email flyers, that is all cut down to a matter of seconds. Just about every business operator will tell you that time is amongst the scarcest resources they have, so the fact that email flyers mitigate that big time sink of traditional paper flyers is a huge benefit.

Email flyers also help extend the businesses promotional messages, due to the viral nature of email.

Most email flyer programs will have a 'forward to friend' feature that further promotes the spreading of the email. With traditional paper flyers, there is practically no forwarding of the message at all. In all hoensty, how many people do you think get a flyer stuffed in their mailbox and think "You know what, I'm going to photocopy this and pass it out to my friends at work!" I can guarantee you not many! But, with the power of email fueling your message, anyone who receives your email flyer can easily use the special 'forward to friend' option embedded in the content, or they can simply click the forward button on their email software. In either case, more people are seeing your message.

In addition, since your email flyer is being passed along to someone's friend or associate, it instantly gains even more credibility, which can go a long way towards making your message stick.

While traditional paper flyers leave the marketer flying blind in terms of overall results, email flyers completely alleviate this shortcoming and put tons of information at your fingertips. When you send out an email flyer, you can track many different aspects of its progress and success. You can see the exact percentage of people who have opened your email flyer, and even drill down to know exactly which contacts opened the email (and even the exact time they opened it and if they opened it more than once!).

With email flyers you can also track exactly who is clicking on links included in your content, and also who is forwarding your message to their friends. With this information easily accessible, marketers can make important decisions on how to improve their promotional campaigns. They'll know exactly what adjustments to make to so their email flyers can be even more effective. Compare this with the "send out paper flyers, cross your fingers and hope for the best" approach, and it's clear just why so many businesses are now harnessing the power of email flyers and email marketing.

While the advantages of email flyers over traditional paper flyers go on and on, one issue worth mentioning is that email flyers are a lot more environmentally friendly. With an overall push by the global community to treat our environment better, it's clear that sending out digital email flyers that produce no waste is far better for the environment than printing thousands and thousands of paper flyers. Even if we all hope that those paper flyers will be recycled, we know that ultimately not all of them will end up in a blue box. That means they have to end up somewhere and that may be the trash or it may be litter on our streets. No matter where it ends up, it's obvious that Mother Nature wouldn't be too pleased.

With email flyers, there is no waste, no garbage, and no litter. Many larger organizations, particularly in the USA, have switched to email flyers to be more environmentally conscious.

There is no doubt that email flyers are the evolution of paper flyers and have a lot of added benefits and advantates. Email flyers consistently prove more advantageous to businesses and ultimately preduce a greater ROI. With more businesses using onto email flyers, we can all expect to see less paper flyers landing in our mailbox and more email flyers landing in our inbox.

Marketing Your Way to the Top with Email and the Internet

There are two marketing opportunities which have the ability to take your business to the top! No, they do not cost vast amounts of money or involve the services of high powered Los Angeles advertising firms. Instead, these are tools which you most likely already have access to, might even have begun to use, but most likely are woefully underestimating in both scope and power.

Are you ready to find out what these two marketing opportunities are? If so, you are ready to start marketing your way to the top with email and the Internet!

While this may sound like common sense at face value, consider the fact that the Internet is accessed daily by millions of users. Consider further that you have access to both email and the Internet from virtually anywhere in the world. Last but not least, recognize the ease with which these marketing tools may be utilized and also the fact that this is not a labor intensive or time consuming process.

Granted, at first you will have to set up your online presence and cultivate your email listing both of these activities will require some time and effort to ensure they are done properly and professionally. Yet once both are in place the time it takes to use them is negligible and opens up a lot of time you will be able to spend on other marketing endeavors.

Recognize the many facets that email marketing on the Net will open up for you: anyone who sends you an email may receive an automatic return email via auto responder which may contain a marketing message, newsletter sign up link, or simply a personal message ensuring them of your prompt attention to them. If you have a well maintained email list, you will be able to send out sales information and special deals or even online coupons to entice your already qualified leads to become buyers.

With a newsletter sign up link in your email addresses or on your website, you will not only gather more email addresses but also provide those who have signed up for your emails with specifically targeted buying messages.

Of course, if you believe email to be indispensable, just wait what the Internet itself has in store for you! Online conferencing allows you to connect with current and potential customers either face to face or at least in real time and discuss the business at hand, a new product you will be marketing, and any other items that will be of interest.

If you are involved in network marketing, you can use this function to train, motivate and keep informed the individuals who are making up your down line. Use the Net to maintain your records and share them with your distributor while at the same time you will have the opportunity to learn more about running your business and staying on top of the finances. The speed with which you can accomplish all of these tasks from anywhere in the world explains why so many businesses are now operated solely online successfully!

Email Marketing Software Gives You Vital Statistics To Boost Your Business

With the right email marketing software, the days of blindly undertaking marketing initiatives without being able to track or monitor your success and easily learn from your experiences are a thing of the past. Now, email marketing software makes it easy to quantify the effectiveness of your email marketing campaigns down to the smallest details. With all this information at the marketer's fingertips, the big question becomes, "how can it all be used?" This article will address several key ways that the reports from your email marketing software can be used to boost your email marketing results.

1. Your Open Rate Can Identify Problems with Your Email Subject
One of the most important reports that your email marketing software will generate is that of overall email 'opens'. Your email marketing software may further divide this into unique opens vs. total opens (as some people will open your email multiple times). This is a vital number because if people are not opening your email marketing campaign, then they obviously can't see all the great promotions or information that you've put inside the message. That is why this is generally the first report you should look at in your email marketing software, since it can often act as an early indicator of a problem with your email name or email subject.

In many email programs that your subscribers may be using (either web-based or on their local computer), all they can see is the 'from' name and subject. Then, they have to make a decision about whether or not to open the email. If you have a low open rate, then the first thing you should do is ask yourself whether or not people recognize and are familiar with the 'from' name you are using. Most email marketing software solutions will let you enter any from name you desire. But, if your customers know you as "Toy Central", but you send out the email from "John Smith", then that could be part of the reason you have a less than stelar open rate.

The other important piece of the puzzle is your email subject. While creating your email from within your email marketing software, you should be able to specify the subject. The goal of the subject line is to accurately describe the contents of the email, while at the same time arousing people's interests so they want to open your message. If you have a boring subject, then that could easily be an explanation for sub-par open rates.

2. Link Click-Through Measurements Can Tell You Where Your Readers Are Looking
Knowing exactly which links are being clicked can be very helpful when planning future email marketing campaigns. Most email marketing software solutions will generate a report that shows you all the hyperlinks in your email message and compare the number of clicks each one receives. This insight can be useful because it tells you where your contacts are looking and what attracts their attention the most. From this information, you can figure out if your audience is looking at the first featured article in the main section, an article off in a side column, or maybe a quick links section. Everyone's target audience is different, but with your email marketing spelling out the answer about which sections generate the most action, you can more effectively plan your future email campaigns.

For example, if you can see that your "Featured Promotion" section containing links to one main product is consistently a leading click generator, then you can put important promotions or messages in that spot. This is a great way to boost click-throughs using readily available information from your email marketing software. And, since clicks, in many cases, are what you need to generate sales, this is a measurement that should not be overlooked.

3. Past Readership Habits Can Help You Further Segment Your List
Since your email marketing software will generate reports that clearly pinpoint who is interacting with your email marketing campaign (whether it is clicks, opens, forwards, etc), this opens up a world of opportunities for targeted email follow-ups. The purpose of this section is to figure out who your active contacts are, then spend extra time marketing to them. This generally produces a greater return on investment.

With most email marketing software solutions, you can take a group of people that performed a certain action (such as opening or clicking on your email) and save them as a new targeted segment. This lets you send a specific email marketing campaign to just those individuals who previously took your desired action. Since you know these people are more highly qualified leads (after all, they already took the first steps owards interacting with you), it can often be more beneficial to spend increased time, attention and marketing budget reaching out to these selected individuals. This is not to say that you should neglect your overall list altogether, as you definitely want to keep your brand in front of as many eyes as possible. But, if you have a limited budget, using the reports from your email marketing software to further target your mailing list can let you easily hone in on the people who, based on past behaviors, are going to be more receptive to what you are communicating.

With a little bit of effort and attention to detailed reports from your email marketing software, any business owner, manager or marketer can gain great insights and vastly improve future marketing efforts. Simply being able to identify when something is going wrong, when something is going right, or when something can be improved, can ultimately help you increase your results and lead you towards achieving your goals.

Understanding the Different Methods of Online Promotion

Did you realize there are only three types of online promotion?... This statement may seem odd and even untrue in your mind, but I am speaking in more general terms than you might be thinking.

Let me explain.

The three types of promotion are Junk, Active and Passive promotions.

JUNK PROMOTIONS ARE MONEY PITS

Junk promotions are those that seem to produce results, but by their very nature are really only illusionary promotions.

For example, let me begin with FFA (Free For All) pages. You might find yourself subscribing to a submission program that tricks you into believing you are submitting your links to tens of thousands search engines.

According to the Open Directory website, they have only approved 1705 search engines and directories for inclusion in their database.

I like using the DMOZ directory as an example because submitted links are tested by human beings with integrity, for the honesty used in site description. Search Engine Watch and other search watchers tend to show fewer than these 1705 engines, primarily because a lot of the engines provide very little value.

Yes, you can submit your URL to a FFA page, but FFAs usually only permit 100 or 1000 links on their page at any one time. So, if ten thousand people are submitting a link to an FFA page on a daily basis, then the average life of your link is between seven minutes and 144 minutes. I suspect the actual number of submitters is much higher and the results are much worse. Given that few people surf FFA pages, the chances of your submission being of any real value is practically nill!

Most of the people telling you that you can submit your site to tens of thousands of search engines are truly only submitting your site to FFA pages! Beware of the false promises.

Another junk promotion method is Safe Lists. A safe list is a mailing group that is signed up to be received by people who want to submit their own ads. Now, most safe lists have thousands of subscribers who are able to submit their ads daily or weekly. The person signed up to receive the list will receive anywhere from twenty to 140+ messages a day from the list. People only interested in promoting their own thing who do not have the right motivation to open, let alone read Your Advertising will receive these messages. As a result, thousands of messages go out daily or weekly that will never be seen by anyone but the sender of the ad. Where is the value in that? There is none.

ACTIVE PROMOTIONS

Active promotions are the types that require you to go out on a daily basis or a weekly basis and put out your advertisements. With active promotions, you will either place your advertising or you will not sell your products or services. Your choice is simple --- work or starve.

Examples of active promotions include Pay Per Click Search Engines (PPCSEs), Direct Email, Ezine Advertising, Solo Ezine Ads, Newsletter Publishing, Ezine Ad Swaps, Classified Ads, Auctions, Site Sponsorship and Banner Ads.

Some people are able to utilize these methods very productively, while others are destined to drop their money into the bottomless pit of failed Internet promotions.

PASSIVE PROMOTIONS

Passive promotions are those promotions that can continue to provide results for you long after you have invested the work to make them available to the Internet community.

Examples of passive promotions include: Link Exchanges, Articles, Ebooks, Content Exchanges and Writing Testimonials for others.

Let us look at articles as a solid example of my point.

You are reading an article that I have written to promote my own business. This article is timeless and therefore could have been written five years ago and still has been as valuable as it is today.

Due to the fact that the article is timeless, it can and will be placed in newsletters/ezines and their accompanying online archives, on websites and in ebooks for many more years to come.

As a result, this article will continue to serve me well beyond the time in which I wrote it and submitted it to publishers and webmasters for public consumption and publication.

This is the best example I can give you of an excellent passive promotional method.

AVOID THE MONEY PITS

Many try and even fewer succeed to conquer the Internet and to produce their dreams of online wealth.

My hope is that you will be one of the people who conquer the challenges before you and to make a nice living while working online. It will take drive, determination, study plus trial and error, but you can make it work for you.

Please continue to educate yourself so that you can avoid the money pits - instead, strive to find the money barrels. It can be done. I am living proof.

How to Win the Advertising and Promotion Game

I am certain that, as a business owner, you have often entertained the question as to how much to spend and where to spend your advertising dollars. For most small business owners, these questions can add to the headaches suffered in the course of normal everyday operations of their business.

THERE ARE NO SIMPLE ANSWERS

The how much to spend and where to spend it questions have no easy answers.

Depending on your type of business, many people suggest that the *how much* should be equal to anywhere from 4% to 10% of your gross receipts.

The quandary is that a business cannot survive without a fresh flow of incoming customers. But, a business can seldom generate a fresh stream of customers without spending money to get the word out about their business.

THE CHALLENGE OF DEVELOPING EFFECTIVE ADVERTISING

Have you ever paid for advertising and sat back to await the fresh flow of customers, only to find yourself sitting and sitting and then sitting some more?

Do not feel bad about that. It has happened to many of us before.

See, knowing where to spend the advertising money is not enough to get the job done.

Where to spend the money only begins to highlight the other issues connected with advertising:

-Marketing Plan
-Advertising Strategy
-Headlines, Ad Copy and Visual Presentation
-Tracking the Success of Your Advertising Campaigns

THE MARKETING PLAN

The Marketing Plan is used primarily to identify your own products and services, costs, strengths, weaknesses and the strengths and weaknesses of your competitors.

To learn more about constructing your own marketing plan, visit the Small Business Administration website for a comprehensive study of the elements of a Marketing Plan.

It is important to understand what you expect to gain from your advertising.

Do you simply wish to get your name known so that when your customer will need you, they will think of you first? Or, do you wish to get your customers in your front door on Saturday?

Do you want your customers to come in and take a look around to discover the next object that they cannot live without? Or, do you want them to come in and buy a specific widget?

Do you hope that enough people will come in to buy enough products or services to pay for your single ad? Or, do you expect to gain a lifelong customer who will help pay for your advertising over the course of several years?

When you know what you want, then you will better understand just how to do it.

HEADLINES, AD COPY AND VISUAL PRESENTATION

You might be surprised how many business owners put out advertising without regard for the quality of the sales pitch or presentation. The quality of your distribution outlet or the amount of money you spent to get there will do little for you if the advertising vehicle is a junker.

Test all of your advertising materials in smaller markets before blowing your advertising bankroll on it. You must absolutely know the value of your advertising before putting large sums of money behind it.

TRACKING THE SUCCESS OF YOUR ADVERTISING CAMPAIGNS

Tell your customers to save another 10% when they tell you they heard or saw your ad in such-and-such location. Suggest that they can register to win a free widget if they fill out a form and have them to tell you how they heard of your business. Advertise a specific widget in your ad and track the sales of that widget.

It does not matter how you track your advertising --- just make sure you do it!

IN SUMMARY

The ideal way to spend your advertising budget is to buy a rifle with a high-powered scope and to only shoot your targets in the light of day.

If you are not tracking your advertising, then you are shooting a pellet gun without an attached scope, with blinders on, and shooting in the dead darkness of night.

Even with a bigger gun, the blinders in the dark constitute the single largest mistake made by advertisers. If you are unable to track your advertising to learn what is working well, what is working somewhat, and what is a money pit, then you are condemned to repeat your mistakes over and again.

By relying only on gut instinct, you may be choosing to spend more money in the money pit and to lose all of your money in the process.

When you get down to the nuts and bolts of making money from your advertising, you should plan, prepare, track and study your results. You must have factual information on which to base your advertising decisions. When you are making the right advertising decisions, then making money from your business might just come easy.

Making Your Business More Profitable

When it comes to making your business more profitable is can take skill and knowledge to know what it is you are looking for. You have to be prepared to decide what it takes to improve sales, review your expenses and extensively review your entire business as a whole, and then gradually break down each area to diagnose what will create a solution.

There are four main areas that you can focus on to successfully increase your business profits.
* Expenses
* Sales/customers
* Advertising
* Creativity

Outgoing Expenses
When it comes to profits in a business it is really a matter of expenses that are outgoing and what amounts of income are being made through your product or service. If you are not making the profit that you first calculated you ware going to want to track how much money you are spending and what it is going towards. Are there any areas where costs can be cut? If there are lower priced services that your company could be using and still remain receiving the same quality product results. If you see that an expense is not necessary, get rid of it. This is the first step to increasing your business profits.

Targeting Sales/Customers
Your next step is to review your sales. Who is buying your product or services? Is there a large ratio of this customer base in your location or do you need to reach beyond the local area to reach a greater audience? Review your target customer base. This allows you to prepare to do what is necessary to reach your customers.

Advertise Your Business
After knowing whom you are selling to, you are going to want to review your advertising methods. Do you have a steady flow of advertisements going out to the customer you wish to reach? Perhaps you need to build or freshen up your website. Place an ad in the local newspaper or pass out flyers advertising your service. You can speak to those in your community about a picnic or other community event in which you would be able to advertise your business. Get the word out and you will draw in more customers to increase profits through sales.

Get Creative/ Be Adventurous
Do not be afraid to think outside the box, to sample creative techniques. Provide customers with a month free service or provide them with a discount. Allow them to sample and if you have enough faith in your product or service you will receive customer returns. Increasing profits is a matter of business review and then follow through with what you find within your business results.

Just as building your business took effort and focus, maintaining business performance and solid profits takes just as much effort throughout your venture. Whatever is necessary must be done to succeed. Trail and error is how you find your way to achieving business success. You have to be willing to put yourself out there really drive towards what is necessary to raise profits and you will be satisfied with your efforts in the end.

Looking At Careers in Advertising

Advertising has clearly taken over the modern world. It is an integral part business today and can be considered one of the major driving forces as the worldwide economy. It is estimated that during 2005 385 billion dollars were spent on advertising globally, some market experts have predicted by 2010 this figure will be over half a trillion US dollars per annum.

These vast amounts that companies are willing to invest in advertising show how important a force it is in today's world, it also shows that when looking for jobs, a career in advertising can be considered worthwhile.

Advertising is carried out in every medium, television, radio, newspapers and the internet are obvious but will also see advertising upon billboards, branded items and even the carrier bags used to carry our shopping home. This means that the jobs in advertising are varied and diverse. With so many mediums used by the advertising industry, almost all types of skills are needed allowing those wishing to find jobs an unrivalled choice of career path.

Firstly there is the creative side of advertising; this is mostly concerned with producing advertising copy. This advertising material can consist of pictorial work, writing, screenplay and scriptwriting. Finding an angle that ensures the response of the mass audience available is extremely challenging as finding the right idea can be frustrating. However, when this is successful it can bring great acclaim and successful product sales.

Fundamentally this sector's role is to provide the advertising copy, be it a billboard design, a description of a product or the script for a television advert. Example jobs in this sector are art worker, copywriter and art director. By creating most of the adverts we see and hear this part of the industry is vital if an advertising campaign is to be successful.

Secondly there are a number of sales jobs in the advertising industry. Sales such as telesales can be seen as a form of direct advertising whilst the ability to fill advertising space and organise how advert campaigns are displayed is greatly required.

Becoming a media buyer involves buying up media space (in newspapers and television) and filling said space with your client's adverts, these jobs requires a lot of liaising and deal breaking so the ability to bend people to your will is helpful. The bottom line of advertising is to sell products or services; hence a background in sales can help you find jobs in the sector.

Finally, as with much of modern business management plays a huge part in the smooth running of the industry. Jobs such as account planner and manager, as well as media planner involve the complete running of advertising campaigns and providing a service that meets a client's needs.

On the account side of the sector often building up good working relationships is a prerequisite of the business. For some this can involve a lot of dining out and entertaining guests at various events, so if you are a good host and able to win people over to your way of thinking, jobs in this sector could be for you.

With so many jobs available to anyone wishing to begin a career, advertising really does offer a great choice. At times it may be high pressure but also very rewarding when the effects of a successful advertising campaign can be seen. With the industry in constant growth, choosing a career in advertising will definitely offer jobs for life, for it is certainly a facet of the modern world that is here to stay.

With ever more exorbitant amounts of money being paid for advertising campaigns jobs in this sector are well paid, especially when in the upper echelons of the business. Whatever your skills; jobs in advertising are always worth considering as a valid career path.

5 Ways To Choose A Product You Can Sell Online

Recently I started a new project to see if making money online was as easy as everyone claimed that it was. Everywhere you look it seems that thousands of guys and gals are claiming million dollar pay checks from marketing online. So, I decided to journal my journey of making money online and today I am going to share what I have learned about choosing a product to sell online.

Keep in mind I am only discussing things I am learning. So, this will not cover anything outside of being an affiliate marketer, because I have zero intention of buying, storing, and selling any product. I am relying on the stores I trust to do that for me. In other words I will remain a marketer for other companies, not market my own products. You would be amazed at how many stores you know and love that are marketed through affiliates, it is a booming business, and I have to be honest, just a few, and I mean a few, do it and do it well. There are reasons why some make money and others don't. Plus there are a lot of products to choose from, and trust me; there are a lot of bad products to choose from.

So let's get started in discussing how you choose a product to sell online. This is part 2 of a 2 part lesson. To get part one visit our Bog listed in the author bio.

My first mistake was that I choose about 12 different products when I started and my second mistake was that I chose mainly bad products.

Lesson Learned when you are starting out chose one or two products.

Why only one or two, because this is a numbers game. I am in day 10 and I have generated 843 clicks to click bank and another 20 or so to commission junction. That sounds ok but the problem is when spread that many clicks among 12 or so products, you dilute the numbers game.

Since there are 12 products, I am not concentrating those 843 people to one or two products. And since it takes anywhere between 100-300 clicks to get a single sale, you really need to concentrate your clicks to one or two products when you start.

If you don't you will go broke and burn out due to lack of sales, I know because I have paid for some of those clicks. However there are ways to get free clicks, and I would suggest going the free route until you get use to moving product. Learn how to sell and convert clicks to sales before you start paying for those clicks. Because if you drop 200 bucks on ad words and get nothing in return...you are going to be bummed...you will learn a lot...but be bummed.

Ok so the question becomes...how do I choose a product?

If you go to commission Junction you will see products and stores you know and perhaps trust...so that is a no brainier...you just subscribe to the products you like and hope you get approved...

With click bank it is a little different. They rate their products in different ways.

At the bottom of each seller you will see this...

$/sale: $29.84 | Future $: - | Total $/sale: $29.84 | %/sale: 74.0% | %refd: 88.0% | grav: 437.58

What this tells you...

1. For every sell you are going to make 29.84
2. You are receiving 74% of the cost of the item
3. Grav is 437...or people promoting this product.

Now that is not a bad deal unless you are going to use ad words to promote your product...this product is listed as the most popular product in health and fitness...which means a lot of people are trying to promote it...plus you get 30 bucks for every sale...

BUT when that many people are promoting a product, that also means you are going to have high competition...which means you will be paying a whole lot more per click then you should...

SO HOW DO YOU CHOOSE A PRODUCT?

The first thing you do is look at the landing page or sales page. If you think it looks cheesy...guess what...it is. No matter how good the product is, if the visual presence on the Internet is lame then no one will buy from that page!

Second thing you do...once you see a page you like look through the page and see if there are any links that lead to any other products or link the person to any other place other than the sells page. If it does you might lose a sale...even though click bank keeps that person tied to you for sixty days...it might be difficult to get a sale if the landing page directs people to different places.

Third look for products that sell for 20 bucks or higher...there is no data shown that a less expensive product sells better than a high priced product...so go high. Plus if you are paying for clicks...then you need that room to make a profit.

Fourth look for a grav of 100 or less...once you pass that 100 mark the competition will be to high. Stated another way if you are paying for clicks on products of a Grav 100 or more the price per click will be too high. If I am getting clicks for free, I usually don't worry about it, but if I am paying Google for clicks, I stay at a 100 or less.

Fifth you need to find out if the seller has an affiliate page. A place where you can get articles, downloads, web page's, etc. A place that really supports there affiliates, in a good way, not a lame way, like saying hope you do well.

If they don't have a support page for you, and I'm not talking about a place to sell you more stuff, but a place that is willing to do everything in their power to make you successful, don't work with them.

Ok the next step, find your one or two people you want to promote

Successful Trade Show Displays on a Budget

For a business, particularly a small business, the thought of a trade show can be daunting, often viewed as a drain on resources and a bit of a financial burden. It is, however, possible to have a successful trade show experience, even on a budget.
When it comes to creating your industry trade show budget, three simple rules apply:

Budget Your Time. Create a plan for your trade show that takes into account budget, staff, resources, requirements and most of all, objectives. A trade show is an industry opportunity and as such, is not the time to be cutting costs and corners. If not only industry associates and peers will be in attendance, but also consumers, influencer's and media, positioning your company in its best light is not an objective, it is an absolute requirement. A clear focus can accelerate and highlight your needs. Is the goal new leads or to launch new product? Understanding this can go a long way towards help you manage staff and budget your resources accordingly.

Budget Your Resources. Staff your booth with existing and knowledgeable staff. While that may seem obvious, it is frequently overlooked. If your goal is lead or client acquisition, your business development team or person should be your front line during peak hours. Much like a hockey team, you want your best players on the ice at critical times. If a new product is being launched, marketing is generally your best front line resource with the ability to speak to product features and benefits.

Budget Your Spending. While the thought of renting a display booth may seem the most cost-effective way to go at the outset, sit down and create a trade show budget with objectives and actual costs. If you are planning to attend more than one trade show, a custom display booth may prove not only more functional, but simply more cost-effective in the end.

Approach your collateral materials in much the same manner. It may be more financially prudent to print an over run of collateral materials from the outset, and then overprint with changes of addresses, rates or other key information as required in much the same manner business cards are overprinted.

Finally when it comes your collateral material for on site data collection, if the audience is small enough it may be easier to capture information into a computer directly presenting a direct cost savings over ballots, and a time savings with having to try and decipher information often poorly and hastily written.

Remember also that a trade show can be exhausting. Poor attendance can lead to boredom and a long day on your feet is a long day on your feet. Budget your time and resources accordingly. When it comes to trade shows, budget need not be a bad word. When it comes to resources, a little planning can go a long way and result in money you can take to the bank. With the use of compact, light and affordable display stands, your next trade show experience is sure to be a hit.

Make your next trade show appearance a success by using a display stand to present your materials to the public. Trade show displays are compact, light and pocket book friendly.

Advertising Your Home Business on a Budget

When you are starting out in a new home business and no one knows who you are, one of the greatest challenges you will face is how to drum up new business.

If there were not people in your community or marketplace that you knew who needed your products or services, you probably would not have started your business to begin with. But, once you have talked to those whom you personally knew who needed your what you offer, then your next task is to find others who will help keep your doors open.

Many people know that they must turn to advertising at some point in the future, but they hope that day will be long down the road. For some, this utopian concept will come to fruition. But for the rest of us in the real world, we must come up with creative solutions for meeting our home business advertising needs while working within our budget.

Most people have a misconception about having to spend lots of money in order to advertise their home business. When you start out, you honestly will not have much money available for advertising, and if you do, you should still spend it wisely.

Before you jump headfirst into the world of advertising, let me share some of the lessons I have learned concerning this most important topic.

LESSON #1

It does not have to cost an arm and a leg to advertise your home business, unless you fail to plan and fail to test.

As much as is possible, you should always test your advertising. If you jump in and start dumping tons of money in to advertising without first testing your advertising, you might find yourself broke and without sales at the end of the road. Most people who commit this error write off their failure on the home business they chose or the economy or any of a hundred other excuses. But, if they are unwilling to take responsibility for their mistake, they will never learn from their mistake. Don't let this be you.

LESSON #2

All testing should be done in blocks. If you begin to advertise simultaneously in newspapers, radio and television, how will you know which advertising is bringing people to your cash register? You won't. All you will know that something might be working, but you will not know what is actually doing the trick.

Even if you tell people in your advertising to tell you how they found you, my experience shows that fewer than 10% of the people ever will tell you anything --- and those people who do may not even get the facts straight! You cannot rely on your customers to tell you what advertising is working for your home business. You must put in the extra effort to know for yourself.

LESSON #3

Only when you have a proven and solid advertising portfolio should you venture to drop big bucks in an advertising campaign. Even then, you should be careful to keep further measurements to determine how much the maximum advantage of an ad would be. Sometimes you might be able to reach ten times as many people, but depending on the kind of media and other factors, the additional exposure will only generate twice as many sales. Keep your eye attuned to situations like this to get the most from your advertising dollars.

LESSON #4

As Lesson #3 illustrates, sometimes your best advertising investment may actually cost you less money. When you are first starting out, whether you are running a home business or a business outside of your home, you need to be able to get people talking and thinking about your business.

If you are busy testing ads in media's such as the newspaper, magazines, radio, and television, you need to learn ways of promoting your business that do not require large cash expenditures. A few examples are:

-Word of Mouth
-Business Cards
-Press Releases
-Non-Primetime Ads on Radio and Television

Here is more information about each type of low-cost advertising:

WORD OF MOUTH

This of course is the cheapest kind of advertising on the planet --- it does not cost you anything. Ask your customers if they know anyone who could also use your products or services. When they are happy with your offerings and service, they will be willing to tell you whom you can contact, and they will pass the word for you.

BUSINESS CARDS

You can usually pick up 500 business cards for about $20. When you do, hand them out. Do not give more than a couple of cards to each person. If they need more cards from you, they will ask.

Some people are known to network with others on a regular basis. Some of these people are also known to be always looking for an extra few bucks. With these people, you can suggest to them that if they write their name on the back of one of your business cards and the card is presented to you, then you will pay a referral fee to them. You do not have to offer much --- sometimes one dollar is enough. Look at your home business and your offerings and decide how much would be a good referral fee.

PRESS RELEASES

Press Releases are a good source for generating news about your home business. The business editor at your local newspaper is always on the lookout for a good business story to fill the business news section of the newspaper.

Of course, the business editor understands the economics of running a paper and is more inclined to run your story if you buy advertising in his/her publication, but will still print stories for special events and openings.

The important thing to remember about Press Releases is that it must be constructed in the form of a news story. Even if you are a sole proprietorship, quotes from you should be written in a third person format: John Doe said, "Your quote here."

A Press Release should pack the most important information at the beginning of the copy, and leave extra details towards the end.

You should always provide the reporter who gets the task a simple and easy way for him/her to contact you directly. Often the reporter will want to contact you to get details that will enhance their take on your story.

To learn more about creating Press Releases, you may check out Rusty Cawley's site by Googling it.

NON-PRIMETIME ADS ON RADIO AND TELEVISION

Believe it or not, some of the best rates for radio and television are on the overnight and non-primetime venues. These target times are not a total waste as they can easily keep the infomercial people in business.

These off-hours are just less populated than the primetime hours.

Don't be afraid to check your local radio and television rates for non-primetime hours to see what bargains may exist. With television, primetime is 7pm to 10pm. With radio, primetime is 8am to 5pm. This sure leaves a whole lot of hours available to advertise your home business at discount rates!

IN CONCLUSION

When it comes down to it, there is a lot to understand about advertising, but when you have the basic knowledge down pat, everything will fall into place and bring more dollars to your bank account.

Advertising Your Home Based Business

In order for any business to be successful, you must have customers or clients that are interested in buying what you have to offer. Even though you have gone to the trouble of creating a website, printing business cards and setting up an office space in your home, if you do not attract any customer, you will not be able to make a profit. When starting a business, you should prepare a short business plan that explains how you plan to build a customer base and how you plan on satisfying their needs.

Every good business needs a steady stream of customers in order to succeed. Before you even decide to go into business for yourself, you should see what your local market needs and then see if there is room for your product on the Internet. If there is a demand for your goods and services, then you should proceed. If not, then you may need to rethink what it is you want to do. Research online careers to see if there are any that interest you. You may find one or two that sound promising. Once you determine there is a market, then you should go to the next step which is to build a website.

Your website does not have to be large but it should be large enough to include all the information needed for visitors to make purchases or find out more about your services. You should be prepared to update your site once a month and add new content. This can include pictures, articles, blogs and other items that are useful to customers. You should also include a sign in box where visitors can enter their email address so you can send them additional information.

Once you have a website, phone line and business cards, then you are ready to advertise your business. You should advertise both online and offline. Take out ads in local newspapers, community bulletin boards and other local advertising spots. Online, you should join forums, create a blog, send coupons, updates and other information to those on your mailing list, and write a few press releases and articles for database sites. These marketing tools will help you increase the amount of people that visit your site.

Marketing is the best way to attract people to your website. By actively marketing to different groups of people, you will begin to see your income increase. Once you have a steady stream of clients, you will not have to advertise so aggressively but you should maintain your blog, place ads on websites and search engines to increase your web rank and overall Internet exposure. Because the Internet is growing, you will have to find more ways to make your business stand out from the rest.

Through word of mouth, email lists and providing excellent customer service, you will be able to expand your business and continue working from home for as long as you want. There are very few limitations to what you can do with your business.

High Quality Perceptions Start with Truthful Expressions and a Well-Conceived Messaging Strategy

Why do you make the decision to buy what you do?

Is it the promise of a desired result? Maybe someone's recommendation? Or, perhaps you just "feel right" about it. Like buying this product or service is an extension or an expression of who you are?

Good reasons, all. But certainly not conclusive.

If any one human being had the definitive answer to this question and somehow was able to apply it in a profit-making venture, no doubt he or she would be quite wealthy. But you and I both know there's no one answer. Instead, we have theories. Maybe we can lump all those theories together and we can begin to formulate a complete answer. That could work, but then we create another problem: leveraging this All-Powerful Marketing Answer into an actionable plan our creative minds can work though and execute.

Why? Because much of The All-Powerful Marketing Answer is based on perception--an exceedingly difficult thing to manage.

Often, perceptions aren't even based in reality. They're the derivative of opinions based on other opinions, which are based on other opinions. Facts get lost, and whether positive or negative, the truth becomes irrelevant.

Unless, of course, we're able to identify the core truths of the brand we're offering a market and be disciplined enough to build our entire branding, marketing and advertising strategy on that foundation of truth. NO MATTER HOW RISKY OR RENEGADE THAT STRATEGY MAY BE.

"Good theory, Barone," you say. "Where's the evidence it holds any water?" you ask.

Hopefully, in your financial portfolios.

A recent four-year study of 33 publicly-traded companies showed that perception (according to the EquiTrend method) had positive effects on the return on investment into those companies' stocks. In other words, the better the perception was about a company, the more money it typically made. And when you wipe away all the fluff and bubbles, isn't making money the ultimate black and white, clear as day, irrefutable measure of a successful branding, marketing and advertising strategy?

As a copywriter, my point in presenting you this idea of creating a perception based on truth is that it is, in large part, a task accomplished by what you say to your market and how you say it.

And if I may offer a little insight into the matter: many businesses don't get that or practice it. They may know that having a well-designed professional image is important, but often times, the messaging takes a strategic backseat and is often relegated to the person who has a little extra time to whip something up. In larger companies, it may not be as simple as having "Bob in the back cube" come up with something. However, there could be a disconnect between the best, most strategic way to verbally engage your customers and what you're doing in your marketing collateral, on your website, in your advertising or in your retail environments.

In other words, creating a positive perception isn't the work of "afterthinking." It requires deep thinking, hard research and deliberate execution by your entire marketing, branding and advertising team.

Something to think about, anyway.

Is It Advertising Or Adverteasing?

Whatever happened to truth in advertising? I live in Los Angeles, where what you see isn't necessarily what you get. Face lifts, breast implants, liposuction - we're walking billboards for plastic surgery.

I often walk past an apartment complex named Ocean Heaven. It sounds heavenly, but it's three blocks from the ocean.

Downtown there's a sign on a new condo complex that says "Living above LA". I'm not sure if that means it's high living or just above the smog level.

Two stores on the same block have sale signs. One sale is described as huge and the other as colossal. I don't know which is bigger. A blow-out sale sounds bigger - unless it's a fire sale.

Some signs claim they have the lowest prices, they're never undersold or they're liquidating. Unless we're careful, we're being sold a bill of goods. We need a sale on glasses so we can read the small print.

Large print on restaurants claim the world's best hot dog, ice cream or scone. I've tried them and I think those making the claims need to see more of the world. A bakery in Anchorage boasted the world's best scone. It was so bad, the baker must think the world's flat.

In catalog ads what isn't said is more important than what is said. If it doesn't say 14k gold, it isn't. If it doesn't say actual size, it isn't. Instead of giving a friend a gold bracelet for her birthday, I gave her gold-filled dental floss.

If we don't grow hair overnight, speak a foreign language in a week or get rich in thirty days, satisfaction is 100% guaranteed. Unfortunately, the majority of us don't ask for refunds unless we've spent more than twenty dollars. This guarantees satisfaction to those selling 21st century snake oil for $19.99.

Then there are the fees for handling and shipping. Am I the only one who thinks these fees are too high? If there really was truth in advertising, these fees would be for shipping and mishandling.

Advertisers can play tricks with words and make our money disappear, but we believe what we want to believe. Common sense tells us that pills won't magically make us lose weight, but we buy them anyway. It's easier to take pills than to change our lifestyle. It's easier to pull the wool over our eyes than to pull on last year's bathing suit.

Website Copywriting: A Recipe For Hard-Hitting Words In Lean Portions

In 10 short years, websites have evolved from business novelty to necessity, perhaps now the most important part of a business' marketing and branding arsenal. For very small shops to the largest publicly-traded corporations, websites have become both the most preferred and the most interactive way for companies to communicate with their customers and prospective customers. And though many of the same fundamentals of good offline copywriting apply to the online world, there are distinct differences in both content presentation and strategy that are important for anyone involved in website copywriting-whether it be a writer, designer, creative director or client-to be aware of.

1. Website copywriting needs to be shorter
It's been scientifically proven that readers' eyes tire quicker reading a computer screen than they do a printed page. But more important than that, website copywriting needs to be short because of the nature of the medium. Computers are all about speed in information gathering, dissemination and understanding. And the amount of verbal content a company presents on its website must take that fact into account. If the concept can be explained in one sentence instead of three, use one. If a simpler word can be used in lieu of a longer, more complex word, go with the simpler. Concentrate on quality without the quantity. It can be done and done very well.

2. Good website copywriting starts with a home page that incites curiosity
On a home page, many organizations wax about how long their company has been in business, how many employees they have and other assorted topics, which do nothing to whet the reader's appetite. Instead, use the homepage to introduce your company as a solution to a problem your market has. That way, you're presenting your readers with a valuable reason to continue reading.

3. Customer testimonials are an integral part of great website copy
Often, the best website copywriting doesn't come from you or your copywriter. It comes from your customers' personal experiences. Assuming your company has satisfied customers, what they say about you can be much more credible than anything you say about yourself, and they can reinforce the credibility of the claims you do make about yourself.

4. Add a personal touch to complement the facts
A website is nothing more than a computerized, interactive introduction (e-commerce not withstanding) to who you are as a company and what you do. And just like a personal introduction, what often follows the "facts" are topics of a more personal nature. Good website copywriting always includes this type of content in a secondary location of the site-a place not hard to find, but not up front and center either. Why is this important? Because people want to get to know the companies they're going to work with or do business with. They're interested in the personalities that run your organization and the culture and philosophy behind it.

Cash And Pay-Per-Click Affiliate Programs

Millions are paying to get a ride on the Information Super Highway everyday. Now, it is widely known that the Internet is an accessible resource of many income-generating activities. Whether you belong to a private sales company or you are just interested in internet marketing, PPC affiliate programs can be a powerful venue to make money from the Internet. A partnership with an affiliate merchant is a win-win situation for the merchant and the affiliate: sales are soaring because of exposure and traffic while the affiliate is earning good cash.

To make things much simpler: the affiliate merchant provides a strip of advertisement and pays you when someone clicks on the ads link. You can get a commission of $0.10 to $0.30 for every click, but it sometimes it can go higher depending on your merchant affiliate. Sometimes, merchants require a quota $1.4 for every 1000 clicks. Plus, you can get discounts from your merchant affiliates if you happen to like their products too. You can just kick back and relax while your website is generating cash. Sounds easy, does not it?

What is PCC Affiliate Program?

PPC means pay-per-click, wherein you get in partnership with an affiliate company that literally pays you for every click. There are actually two types of PCC affiliate programs theirs those who pay a commission based on the number of clicks and the other based on the sales. The pay-per-click scheme is much more popular than pay-per-lead because the affiliate gets paid by just clicking the ad, regardless of whether the visitor buys from the affiliate merchant or not. Plus the chances of a visitor purchasing something from the affiliate merchant are not really that high.

In choosing an affiliate program, read the fine print carefully because some pay-per-click programs get the ratio of the number of people who went to your site and the actual people who clicked on the ad. If you have a heavily targeted website, this can hurt your earnings.

How do I start?

Of course, you need to have a website. Depending on your target audience, choose the best affiliate merchant that is most related to your topic. For example, your website is about Carpentry then you can search for affiliate programs that sell tools used in carpentry.

However, if you do not have a website, thats not a problem. You can put up a content site about absolutely anything under the sun like Taking Care of Dogs or Decorating your own Home. But wait, its not over yet. We are faced by a dilemma on how to increase traffic! You first need to get internet surfers to see your website, then the ad.

How do I increase my traffic?

First, design your website in such a way that it will attract internet users. A user-friendly site is always recommended so that the customers will know which one to click. Take into consideration the look and feel of the advertisement. If it does not look professional, most likely, users will just ignore it. Place the ad on a strategic location where users can see it clearly. Visibility of the ad is always important.

Another way is to post a link to your website in forums, web communities, ezine articles or bulletin boards. However, this method requires a lot of effort and that defeats your purpose of getting easy money in the first place! The key is to do something once and forget about it. Its like putting your business on autopilot. To maintain you pay-per-click business, be sure to track down site activity, so you are updated on how much money you are making.

Can I make more money?

If you think you can go to the next level, you can try a two-tier affiliate program. This gives you the power to recruit affiliates. Other than the money you get from your website clicks, you will also get a percentage of what your affiliate generates. Some companies give 30 percent to a soaring 50 percent commission on all referral sales.

Blogs and Content: The Oil That Lubes the Machine

Whether you love them, hate them or simply ignore them, the reality is that blogs are here to stay.

No longer are blogs restricted to personal online journals published for friends and family. Blogs are big business and are used by big business to enhance the companies that run them. There are quite a few blogs out there netting in the millions of dollars every year.

This phenomenon just seems to keep snow-balling and picking up speed.

Forum sites, for example, are often affiliated many blog sites; all inter-linked and mutually supportive of one another. Of course, the goals of many of those sites and blogs is not to make money except through residual advertising to offset the time and expense of running them.

The potential is there and limitless, however, to make a killing through this medium of communication. Where else can you publically market, sell, ship and deliver your wares to a world-wide market for virtually no overhead? For about $300/year you can run a large variety of web sites, blogs and e-commerce sites that reach a global market. If you can reach and sell to 1/10,000th of that market, you will be living pretty high up on the hog. All done from the privacy of your home or off your mobile laptop.

There are probably as many marketing strategies to build a successful blog as there are blogs. The Internet is rife with sites that do nothing but teach you how to be a better, more successful blogger. I have reviewed several hundred of these sites and I have found what I believe to be the common core secret to them all. It's so simple and obvious that a lot of people just overlook it.

People don't visit blogs to look at all the pretty colors and flashing lights or hear the bells ring and whistles blow. They come because they are in search of content; the meat and potatoes.

Imagine, if you will, a fine five-star restaurant you have stumbled upon. They've had a cancellation and usher you in to be seated right away. Pretty good so far, eh? A whole staff of servants waits on you and flutters about while you wait on your menu. It finally arrives in the hands of a smiling server and you open it and are immediately perplexed!

It only offers one thing: PB&J Sandwich - $40.00 ($50 w/chips and a drink).

My guess is you would lose whatever appetite you had and let your feet do the talking as you headed for the door!

Blogs, or any other website for that matter, need to offer up the 'meat and potatoes' if they want return customers. And the way you do that is by offering a variety fine, delectable treats that they can't wait to be served - each and every trip.

To sell something to anyone, you first have to get them inside your shop. Window dressing may catch their eye and get them to peep inside, but if they view empty shelves and cobwebs, chances are they will never be back again. You failed to offer the incentive to return.

If there is one truth in the business world, it is this:

"It is often very hard to gain customers, but it's almost impossible to get them back once you've lost them."

Content. That is the secret thread that holds all successful online sites together. It is no easy task writing good, effective web content, but it can be done with a little study and good practices.

Many writers' forums are available across the Internet to develop these skills in authors wishing to write articles for marketing. Blogs with good, well written articles and web content gets much attention and use. It is the wave of the future in all manner of commerce, whether you are selling a product, service or even yourself (as a writer). If you are looking to learn or improve upon your skills in this area, find a good writer's forum to tutor you along the way.

Designing a Viral Marketing System for your Business

Viral Marketing campaigns refer to the self-perpetuating spread of a brand, product or service. The awareness can be spread by word-of-mouth (slower) or accelerated by the network effects of the internet. A viral marketing campaign encourages people to voluntarily communicate the brand message to a plurality of others. Viral promotions are typically thought of as funny emails, videos, texts or images, however, at a more sustainable level, they are becoming items of high value such as free information products, samples or trial services.

The promise of the internet has always been a price of "free" and online users expect to start a new relationship without paying for it. As an online or offline business owner, you must find a way to initially give a user something of value for free. Studies have shown that satisfied customers tell an average of three other people about products or services they like, and eleven people about a product or service they didn't like. By providing a valuable giveaway, there is a higher likelihood of customer satisfaction and no financial risk in telling others.

The giveaway becomes the cost of building an ongoing a relationship with a user and the opportunity to get a sale. If the initial viral message creates the right motivation, it may exponentially spread to other users who also start a relationship with your brand.

Although there is sometimes a cost to building the viral message components, they should support the consumption of your primary product or service and can be re-purposed in many ways to drive sales.

The design of a viral marketing campaign should cover the life-cycle of the relationship with the future client. This includes the initial viral message, an ethical bribe used to get permission to continue the relationship and converting the prospect into a paying client.

Viral marketing system components:

1. Viral Message: Create a selfish motivation that makes someone want to tell others. The selfish motivation comes from the emotion your viral message, product or service creates. This is the bait that lures someone into a conversation with your business. During this first phase of the relationship, the prospect doesn't trust you and the most a business can hope for is future brand recognition.

2. Ethical Bribe: Provide the visitor a free gift in exchange for an email address. The free gift inspires the prospect to opt-in and give you permission to start a deeper relationship. The ethical bribe can be a free ebook, consumer guide, informative report, tip list, product sample, give a donation to a charity, a contest, newsletter subscription, etc.

3. Conversion: The content you give away as an ethical bribe or in the ongoing email communication should be related to your product or service and written to create trust, build a burning desire for what you are selling and lower the barrier to a sale (make an offer). This is where well written copy can make or break your conversion rate.

Once you acquire a new email address, the biggest mistake you can make is to spam your brand message to a potential client. Depending on the sales cycle of your product or service, more time may be required before the prospect has a problem that you can solve. If you immediately make offers for sale, give an uninterested subscriber the ability to unsubscribe from your list.

A more benign approach to keeping a high-touch relationship is to provide valuable information about your product or service. An example of this is a monthly newsletter. Newsletters can be written in an advertorial style which promotes your business and also provides a benefit to the reader. Outside the body of the newsletter, offers for sale can be made in dedicated ad space.

Building A Successful Marketing Network

Building a business or creating a successful marketing network is an equal portion of art, science and innate talent. This will explain why some folks with almost identical business setup and opportunities will succeed beyond their wildest dreams while others will fail miserably, even if at the onset they appear to have similar results. While there is no surefire foolproof way of guaranteeing success, there are three strategies for successful business marketing and of course profitability.

1. The very first step, interestingly enough, will not require you to find a product. Instead, it will ask you to honestly and succinctly list your talents. Mind you, this does not refer to learned behaviors and skill sets gleaned through book knowledge but instead it refers to your gut level abilities that may have gotten honed with the book knowledge you have acquired but which by and large have always been part and parcel of your makeup.

Once you compose a list, give it to your closest friends and ask them to give you a yes or no to see if they share your opinion. Ask your mother and your kid brother and everyone else who knows you well when your guards are down and you are being yourself. This is not a methodology to deter you from network marketing, but it will determine which aspect of the business you need to focus on to increase your ultimate profitability, product sales or down line generation.

2. Successful business marketing and profitability will rely on your inborn talents to focus on the right aspect of the majority of your attention while paying merely adequate attention to the rest of the business. Thus, the second strategy is the creation of a large pool of qualified leads. For some, this may refer to customers while for others this may pertain to a group of individuals who will become a down line. Much has been written about lead generation but remember that you do not want indiscriminate leads but instead must have qualified leads.

Eschew the net approach in favor of the hook, line and sinker approach. In the first instance you might rent a meeting room and heavily advertise your gathering as either a job opportunity, business opportunity, or wellness fair which will net you a lot of leads but because the ads were not completely genuine but probably will not bring you too many qualified leads. In the second instance, you will target a certain segment of the population by advertising in trade journals or niche specific publications and use power words that will elicit buying or joining responses. This is where qualified leads are found.

3. One of the most overlooked skills required in business marketing, network building and overall selling of anything at all is product knowledge. You will not be taken seriously as a sales person if you can only regurgitate that which is printed on the glossy brochure or written on your website. Consumers have become jaded with smooth talk and obvious marketing hype and instead are consistently searching for the genuine article. If you know your product first hand, you will have the ability to deliver a pitch in a conversational and not contrived tone of voice which will boost your credibility immediately.

Podcasting For Your Real Estate Business

Make room for the next generation in online communications, the Podcast. A podcast allows you to host your very own radio show and you do not need to work in the broadcasting industry or even be that entire tech savvy to create a podcast.

For those who are not sure what exactly a podcast is, it is simply an audio and video file containing speech, text, video, and even music if you like, that you create for others to download to their computer or MP3 mobile device to listen to at their convenience. Try Itunes and similar online outlets to find other real estate podcasts that you can download free to get a feel for how others have created theirs.

How do you get your podcast to your intended audience? By uploading your audio file along with and RSS file to your website. Visitors then can utilize programs designed to enable automatic downloading of these files for fast and simple on demand access to your podcast.

Ten Podcasting Tips

One, consider contracting with a real estate virtual assistant who offers website services such as podcast development and implementation, especially if you are not comfortable with speaking at length. You may wish to write down what you want to speak about before beginning so that you do not lose your train of thought and have uncomfortable gaps of silence in your audio file.

Two, to create a podcast without the services of a REVA, simplify things by using programs that have been made to do the harder work for you. Podcast People is one such example of a program that simplifies the making and publishing of a podcast.

Three, check to see if your computer came with a microphone already installed, otherwise you will need to buy one before you can begin recording your audio files. You may want to investigate purchasing a headset microphone with noise cancellation technology to keep white noise from overtaking your broadcast leaving you sounding as if you are speaking from inside a tunnel.

Four, you will need podcasting software for recording, storing, and uploading the files for your podcast. These podcasting software programs vary widely in price from 75 dollars or less to over 250 dollars. An alternative to investing in expensive podcast software before you know enough about them to choose the right one for your podcasting needs is to use a free podcast software program provider such as Audacity.

Five, you are going to want to make a few test recordings so that you can detect any problems before you publish your podcast and suffer the embarrassment of having numerous mistakes pointed out to you. Your goal if you remember is to impress clients and give them the rationale for choosing to bring their real estate business to you as opposed to your competitors, not to cause them to scoff at unintelligible podcasts.

Six, do not use industry terms that are not commonly known by everybody. This is the quickest way to turn off an audience and potential customers for your business.

Seven, variety is the spice that gets the best results. Avoid creating a podcast that is just one long sales pitch. Add in some interesting information and educational tidbits, humor, music, and more. Pretend you are speaking to good friends in your living room.

Eight, it is not too late to reconsider letting a real estate virtual assistant create a spectacular podcast for you if after listening to your test recordings you do not feel confident about the podcast you have created.

Nine, if you have decided to go with your own podcast creation it is now time to publish it for your clients to find, download, and listen to. Your podcasting software will convert your audio files into MP3 files, or if you have chosen an online podcasting software provider, follow their instructions for converting files to MP3 format and publishing your podcast.

Ten, for smaller or targeted distribution of your podcast upload it through the RSS feed to your website and you can even email your podcast files as attachment in emails to your valued clients.

Email Marketing Basic Process

If you are in business you should have a list of customers that you regularly communicate with. In fact, many would say that your list is your business. The reason for this is simple. When you advertise you pay to attract people interested in your niche market. If you make your offer once and they leave you only have that one chance to sell to them. If you gather their name and email address you can send offers and information to them for free any time you like.

You will need to select a niche market to serve first. Pick something you like working with and you'll enjoy yourself more. Make it narrow enough that you can be specific in your email marketing but broad enough that you have a sufficient customer base.

With your niche market firmly in mind, start gathering information about your niche. If you already have a product you're selling collect all of your product literature. Get every bit of information that your market might be interested in that you can find.

Now you need to pay attention to your profit centers. There are at least six in any list. You need to take the time to focus on each one and ensure that you maximize the revenue of each one by constant tracking and testing.

There are a few 'fact-of-life' expenses involved. You will need an autoresponder, a domain name and web hosting. Don't skimp. You want good reliable providers, especially your autoresponder since you have government email regulations to deal with.

You will also need a credit card processor and a viral report that you can offer in exchange for your customers name and email. You can write it yourself, hire a ghostwriter to write it for you or buy private label rights to a report in your niche.

Once all of that technical stuff is out of the way you can focus on the design and style of your e-zine or autoresponder series. You should define the theme of your site according to the specific portion of your niche market that you intend to serve. The more focused your list e-zine theme is the more responsive your list is likely to be.

After you have your theme you need to decide how many profit centers you will use and how you will implement them. Many of your profit centers will send your traffic to your affiliates. Once you know the structure of your list monetization strategy you can identify the specific affiliate products to promote to your market.

The layout and formatting of your email is very important. There are a few outlines for email structure that have proven themselves over time to pull better response rates. But the bottom line is you are going to have to test formats on your list to see what works best for you.

Another important consideration is the use of plain text verses HTML email. Each have a list of pro's and con's that you should consider carefully.

This is important. It's 'first impression' important. Make sure you take your time with the first message you send to your new subscribers. Offer good quality content and thoroughly proofread your work.

Your main goal is to create a bond of trust between you and your subscribers. Deliver real value. Treat them with respect and only promote products that you are sure live up to their promises.

Be fair and honorable with your list and your list will be very profitable. Here's the entire process in a nutshell.

1. Write a viral report
2. Create a cover image for your free report
3. Convert your report into pdf
4. Get an Autoresponder at aWeber or GetResponse
5. Get your domain and hosting
6. Set up your Squeeze Page
7. Redirect subscribers to a One-Time-Offer page (profit center)
8. Create your Thank You page with report download link and affiliate links
9. You're done - Now start Promoting

Every single marketing action you take from this point forward should be geared to driving qualified traffic to your squeeze page.

There are hundreds of ways to drive traffic to your list opt-in page. Just a few include ad swaps, buying ads in other e-zines, joint venture giveaways, articles marketing, blog marketing...

Once you have built a significant subscriber base you should start another list in a related niche and send your current subscribers to your second list to get it started quickly. Repeat the system and you are on your way to passive wealth.

Pay Per Play Advertising - How Does Pay Per Play Advertising Work?

Pay Per Play Advertising or Pay Per Play (PPP)is a new and innovative advertising model for major brands to get their ads in front of the exploding social boom that is happening on the Internet. PPP works on a bid management platform similar to Google AdWords and compensates website and blog owners or "publishers" just like Google AdSense but publishers earn revenue on 100% of their traffic. There are no purchases or clicks required by site visitors. And there is no conflict with the terms of service for Google.

Simply stated, PPP is a brief, 5 second audio advertisement that is purchased by major brands, advertising agencies, and direct response content advertisers on a "per play" basis.

A website or blog owner does a simple cut and paste of the code on any web page, on any site where they want a visitor to hear audio advertisements. The code will allow the web page content to be crawled and determine what ads will be played.

The 5 second ads are played automatically and the website publisher is paid on the "per play" basis. Obviously, the more pages you advertise on, the more money you make. And the beauty of the system is that this process guarantees a 100% conversion rate of your site visitors.

The ads are professionally created. Best of all these audio ads DO NOT take up any space your web page. The ads are heard, not seen, and there is nothing to click on, the ad just plays when a visitor enters a page that has the code inserted.

The audio ads run only one time so your visitors are not bombarded with a continuous stream of ads. That means when a visitor enters a page with the Pay Per Play code inserted then that visitor will hear ONE 5 second audio ad and that's it.

For the past 2 1/2 years, PPP has perfected this system with over 66,000 advertisers and over 550,000 websites that serve ads to their visitors. The 550,000+ websites that currently serve these ads are responsible for 43 million streams (impressions) of advertisers' 5 second audio ads on a monthly basis.

While this is impressive, their goal is to open the program up to a larger audience of website and blog publishers because the advertisers are hungry for lots and lots more with the decline of television viewer ship and the increase of Internet usage.

The Pay Per Play advertising model is the perfect blending of mass-market advertising applied to targeted and trackable Internet marketing.

Now that you know how Pay Per Advertising works, do yourself a favor and visit http://www.payperplay.i2gogo.com for more information and your free sign up today.

Sending People To Your Site For Advice Could Make You Rich

Getting customers to your site should always be ranked as high as the importance of the quality and the excellence of the product and the services you provide.

They should go hand in hand in providing your customers the satisfaction they get in exchange for the money they have paid for them. Customer service should as well be as fantastic so that the customers are provided with the same satisfaction.

One of the ways you can combine marketing and customer service is through opt-in marketing. With an opt-in list you get the opportunity to introduce your site and products on a good time basis. Opt-in marketing strategy is a marketing strategy that is virtually low cost and not time consuming. Here, you get the consent of your website visitors to subscribe to your newsletters and other promotional materials such as catalogs and free promotions.

Opt-in marketing uses your list of subscribers to send e-mail to. These e-mails will contain the materials you will send to your subscribers. It is essential that you present your promotional items in a manner that will catch the interest and the eye of your subscribers to keep them wanting for more. The best way to do this is to provide fun, entertaining and informational articles.

Well written articles full of content and useful information will help in building your list as more subscribers will be enticed your list. When they have read the samples of your contents in your online business sites, they will be intrigued as to what will come next. Subscribing to your newsletter will offer them a glimpse of what you have to offer next.

Many sites and companies have captured the importance of articles and this also aids in search engine optimization. As more people are heading towards the internet for their information needs, serving the right information to them via articles in your site will increase the flow of your website traffic. With more traffic, the percentage of your sales will grow. More sales turn into more profit for your online business.

There have been the rise for the importance of well written, information enriched and keyword packed articles for the content of their site as well as for newsletters. These articles provide the information many are seeking in the internet. If your site has them, more people will be going to your site for information and research.

Well written articles would also boost your sites reputation. If they are filled with many information you will be regarded as well informed and an expert on the subjects that you tackle. Your articles must be well researched so that the people will trust you. When you have gained their trust, they will always come for you for their needs on that subject.

In connection, you must write articles or commission them to tackle subjects that are closely connected with your type of home business opportunity. If you have a site for a medicine tackling a certain disease, your articles must be about the diseases. Or if you sell materials for home improvements provide articles with those themes. Most articles searched for are tips, guidelines, methods, manuals and such. If you provide these articles to your customers and you have their trust, they will always go to your site for help and advice as well as for your products.

With the loyalty of these customers, they may subscribe to your opt-in list to receive all the online business information you have. If you provide them with the answers for that need, they will be happy to be receiving your newsletters as well as other promotional materials to keep them well informed. Others may even forward your newsletters to other people when they find a certain article interesting.

You should provide links in your newsletter so that when other people are reading it and wants to read more, they may click on the link and go to your site. With the articles you have in your site that are good, they may decide to sign up as well for your opt-in list. This will build your list and make it bigger.

Make sure to keep your subscribers happy and interested in your newsletters and promotional materials. Keep on posting and writing good articles for your site and newsletter. If you are not interested in writing them or if you just don't have the time, there are many available well experienced and knowledgeable writers available to help you out. This is an investment that will pay for itself in time.

Creating A Huge Opt-In List

Just as an experiment, a close friend of mine subscribed to ten different opt-in e-mail marketing lists to see which ones are effective. Many websites and online businesses have resorted to sending promotional materials to people who have subscribed to them in an effort to boost their sales or traffic.

Opt-in email marketing sends newsletters, catalogs updates and many more promotional materials to website visitors who have agreed to be updated whether monthly, weekly or semiannually.

Through e-mail, an internet user that is on the list will receive their updates through email. If a promotional material piques their interest they will go to the site to learn more or to purchase outright. For the website operators or owners, this is a chance to remind their list of their existence and parlor their wares. With the numerous sites in the internet that offers the same products or services in one way or the other, the competition can get pretty tight and it is easy to be forgotten.

Back to my experimenting buddy, he tried to find out which opt-in marketing strategies grabbed a person into begging for more. Some would send in very simple fashion, some would very outlandish while there are some that would just lie in between. The differences could easily be noticed and some have gotten the idea of an effective opt-in marketing strategy.

He dubbed them effective because he felt like he just couldn't wait to go their site and learn more, the more persuasive ones even got him halfway to reaching for his wallet and to his credit card before he realized this was only for an experiment. So, there's a key word: positively persuasive.

Many companies and site present their promotional materials in a wide variety of concepts. Each has their own distinctive style and designs, but more than the outline and the presentation, the content and the articles are what keeps the attention of your potential customer locked on to your opt-in marketing medium. Creativity is the key here.

From talking to many satisfied opt-in list subscribers and forums, I have learned of what is essential in opt-in marketing and what makes the subscribers begging for more instead of lining up to unsubscribe.

Keep your promotional materials light, creative and original. Many people are stressed out as it is. Getting a stuffy business proposal rather than a light hearted e-mail may just agitate them more. A warm friendly smile or banter is always more welcome than a serious business meeting or proposal. While you do want your customers to take you and your products and services seriously, you also want to show them that you know how to have fun.

Splash some color in your emails as well as provide some photos and articles that can be related to you but show good news or good light hearted images as well. Provide a newsletter or promotional materials that will keep them in a light mood. Make your materials eye catching and grabbing that they wont be able to take their eyes of them. Pique their interests.

Have good content and article, even if it means investing in an experienced and professional copy writer to write them for you. An effective copy writer should be able to build trust between you and your customers. They should be able to establish your credibility in what they write. It must be informative but not too stuffy. Let go of the professional jargons and "talk"to your recipients.

A good article and content should be able to outline the benefits of your product and services and why they need what you are offering. But do not look to be overeager and too persuasive. It should be able to entertain as well as lead them to buying from you.

Your promotional materials should be clear. Don't leave people guessing. You should lead them to you and not vice versa. Explain to them what they need to do in a manner that won't be confusing. Try to anticipate also what your target client needs. Do your research and information gathering, many sites will be able to help you with that.

Provide clear and crisp images of what you are offering. If the people know what you have for them, they are more likely to beg for more. For example, if you are selling a car, provide them photos but only enough to encourage them to go to your site for more. Again, creativity is the key, if more people utilized their own personalities online, we wouldn't have so many sites and persons looking and sounding the same. Be original. Be you.

Prepare Your Trade Show Display in 5 Easy Steps

Being prepared for the challenges of a Trade Show essentially comes down to one thing: Good project management skills or the ability to manage time, resources and budget. There are 5 easy steps you can follow to ensure that you make the most of your experience and ensure that your trade show display is a success.

1. Turn Your Deadline Into An Advantage
In terms of planning for your show, the biggest advantage in your favour is a fixed or hard deadline. Because the deadline is non-negotiable everything can be worked backwards from there with cushions built in to afford the kind of presence that puts your company in its best light.

2. Sweat The Small Stuff
A trade show is the perfect opportunity to audit and assess your collateral materials. That should include everything from business cards to leave behinds and rate cards or price lists. While the temptation may exist to make due with what you already have, ensure that material is the most appropriate to the show and your audience. Bear in mind however, that things are likely to change from one year to another such as new consumer trends and/or new industry trends and that may require new materials.

3. Have A Booth Dress Rehearsal
If time and space are available and your booth is more or less of a manageable size consider setting your booth up in advance of the trade show to ensure everything is in working order and assist you in discovering what your needs or requirements may be.

Ensure that all other staff members that will be in attendance at the show are present. Make sure that they understand proper etiquette as well as what kind of attire to dress in. There is nothing worse then wearing a killer suit with uncomfortable shoes!

Setting up at the trade Show is a frantic time and not when you want to discover tears, rips, forgotten extension cords, missing computer parts, burned out light bulbs or worse.

4. Educate Your Staff
Ensure your staff is aware of the goals and objectives of your marketing effort and educate everyone on how best to achieve them. Have a process in place for lead capture and follow up. Fully 80% of Trade Show leads are never followed up for one of two reasons: a lack of complete prospect information with which to follow up or they are simply forgotten. They do, however, represent some of your best revenue opportunities.

Coach yourself and other staff members on proper sales language. Make sure that they are able to articulate your product as well as build relationships based on value.

5. Create A Checklist
Manage your exhibit as a project and the task will be easier both in its execution and in reaching goals and objectives. Your Trade Show or Project list should be built so as to account for pre-show activities (booking space and ensuring materials are in place); actual show requirements (staffing, objectives); and post show requirements (tear down, prospect follow up).

Make your next trade show appearance a success by using a display stand to present your materials to the public. Trade show displays are compact, light and pocket book friendly!

Get the Most from Your Business Promotion Money Machines

A smart business owner is always looking for creative new ideas to build traffic at the next store event. Whether it's your first grand opening promotion or one of your regular store promotions, adding an exciting attraction will draw crowds, increase sales, and even generate free publicity.

One of the most popular event entertainment ideas is the money machine or cash cube.

Money machine basics

You've probably seen money machines at trade shows or other events. Maybe you've even used them yourself. The contestant steps into a booth of blowing money and has a limited time to grab as much cash as possible. It's fun and exciting, and the energy of the event brings curious onlookers over who might not have been planning to visit at all.

Think you can't afford this promotion? Sure, the high-end hardcase money machines have flashing lights, sirens, and customizable displays but there are other options for the budget-restricted business. Table top cash cubes or inflatable money machines are less expensive choices that still generate huge crowds.

Money machines mean conversions

With a little thought these terrific traffic generators can convert traffic into sales.

The problem with cash is that the customer can have fun at your business, then go next door to spend the money! Instead of cash, fill the machine with vouchers for your business. Not only does this mean the winnings automatically go back into your store, but it gives the customer an incentive to buy. If they leave, they are throwing their winnings away.

Cash vouchers are better than percent-off coupons. Let's say you offer travel packages that average $1000 each. If a customer grabs a 10% coupon, there is an incentive to buy but not a strong one. It's still just a piece of paper that has no intrinsic value to the average person's mind. Replace that coupon with a $100 voucher and suddenly it feels like real money. It's a lot harder to throw away something that says $100 than something that says 10%.

Combine promotions for even more sales

Instead of letting everyone try the machines, which leads to long lines and frustrated customers, try something like a prize wheel. The customers spin the wheel and the grand prize might be 25 seconds in the cash cube. If you label every space on the wheel as a prize then all your customers feel like winners. You can be a winner too by making those prizes small promotional items such as coffee cups or t-shirts, all emblazoned with your logo.

The bigger the event, the bigger the attention. A large enough sales promotion can attract the attention of local media, meaning TV and radio promotions that you don't have to pay for.

Smart business promotion means taking simple ideas and expanding them in new and creative ways. Anyone can find a money machine for rent, but the clever business owner can turn a simple promotional tool into a major sales event

How To Write An Attention Getting Subject Line

The race for supremacy in the internet based businesses has been really heating up and many sites have been put up to help others to get ahead for a small fee. But there are also ways in which you don't have to pay so much to make yourself a good list of loyal followers. Having a satisfied web traffic and visitors allows you to put up a foundation wherein you can build an opt-in list and make it grow from there.

An opt-in list allows you to provide newsletters to your subscribers with their consent. When people sign up, they know that they will be receiving updates and news from your site and the industry your represent via an e-mail. But that doesn't mean that all of those who subscribe read them at all. Many lists have been built due to an attachment with free software or for a promotional discount and such. Some are not really interested in receiving e-mails from companies and just treat them as waste of cyberspace and delete or trash them without so mush as opening the e-mail and scanning them.

You can change all that. While forwarding an email message is relatively after producing your newsletter. Getting people to open them is not as easy. You don't want to waste all the time and effort used in making the newsletters, you want people to read them and have their interests piqued. Interested enough to go to your website and look around and most especially purchased and acquire your products or services.

One of the numerous ways you can tempt or persuade your subscriber is by providing a well thought out and well written subject. The subject of an email is what is often referred to when a person or a recipient of an email decides whether he or she wants to open or read an e-mail. The subject could easily be regarded as one of the most important aspect of your promotional e-mail.

Your subject must be short and concise. They should provide a summary for the content of the e-mail so that the recipient will have basic knowledge of the content. This is really vital in grabbing the attention of your readers and subscribers. You want your subject to instantly grab the attention of your subscriber and get them to be intrigued to open up your mail. Remember, it is not necessarily true that a subscriber opens up subscribed mails.

A good subject must always be tickling the curiosity of your recipient. It must literally force the recipient to open the mail. A certain emotion must be ignited and get them to open the mail. It is essential to use specific words to get the reaction you need. Keep in mind that the recipient or subscribers spends only a few seconds looking over each subject of the e-mails he receives. You must grab your reader's attention right away.

There are many forms you can use for your subject. You can provide a subject that says your e-mail contains content that teaches them tips and methods on certain topics. An example of this is using keywords and keyword phrases such as, "How to" , "tips", "Guides to", Methods in and others like that.

You can also put your subject in a question form. These may include questions like, "Are you sick and tired of your job?" Or "Is your boss always on your case?" Try to stay on the topic that pertains to your site so that you'll know that your subscribers have signed up because they are interested in that topic. This form of subject is very effective because they reach out to your recipients emotions. When they have read the question on your subject, their mind starts answering the question already.

You can also use a subject that commands your reader. Statements such as "Act now and get this once in a lifetime opportunity", or "Double, triple and even quadruple what you are earning in one year". This type of subject deals with the benefits your company provides with your product and services.

You may also use breaking news as your subject to intrigue your subscriber. For example, if you deal with car engine parts you can write in your subject, "Announcing the new engine that uses no gasoline, It runs on water". This creates curiosity with the reader and will lead them to open the mail and read on.

Remember, creativity is the key. Above all else, don't be like anyone else. Bring out yourself in your emails and you may truly attract positive attention towards your home business opportunity or online business in general.

Do's And Dont's When Emailing Your List Of Subscribers

When you decide to have an opt-in list, it is not just a matter of sending your subscribers your promotional newsletters or catalogs. There are many things to consider in avoiding many complications. While there are so many ways you can make people subscribe to your list, there are also some things you must do to avoid subscribers from wanting to get off from your list.

Aside from that, you also want to avoid any problems with the law and your internet service provider or ISP. There are now many laws and rules that are applied to help protect the privacy of the internet users from spamming and unwanted mails. With the popularity of the electronic mail as a medium for marketing because of the low cost, many company's have seized the opportunity and have flooded many people's e-mail accounts with promotional mail.

But, with an opt-in list, you avoid this annoyance because people subscribe to the list; they want to receive the newsletters and promotional materials. They have consented to being on the list by subscribing themselves, just don't forget to put an unsubscribe feature every time in your opt-in list so that you avoid any confusion. There may be times when an email account was provided when the real owner didn't want to subscribe.

It is essential that you keep your list clean and manageable. Arrange it by using the many tools and technologies available for your opt-in list. Do not worry; your investment in this marketing strategy is well worth it with all the coverage you will get which will likely be converted into sales then to profit.

Keep yourself and your business out of trouble and potential run-ins with the law and the internet service providers. Keep your operation legit and clean. Your reputation as a legitimate businessman and a legitimate site depends on your being a straight and true marketing strategist. As a tip, here are three things to avoid when emailing your list.

1) Take notice of your unsuccessful sends. These are the e-mails that bounce. Bounced emails, also known as undeliverable messages, are those messages that, for whatever reason, were not successfully received by the intended recipient.

There are bounces that happen or occur because the server was busy at that time but can still be delivered in another time. There are also bounces because the inbox of the recipient is full at that time. There are those bounce messages that are simply undeliverable ever. The reason for this is that it may be an invalid email address, a misspelled email address, or an email address that was abandoned and erased already.

Manage your list by putting markings on those that bounce. Erase an email account from your list so that you have an accurate statistics and records as to how many are actually receiving your mail. You may also want to check the spellings of your email addresses in your list. One common mistake is when an N instead of an M is placed in the dot com address.

2) Always provide an unsubscribe feature in your site and an unsubscribe link in your mails. When someone in your list files a request to be unsubscribed, always take that request seriously. If you don't take them off your list and keep sending them your e-mails, you are now sending them spam mail.

When you are reported as a spammer, you and your business can get into a lot of trouble. You can be reported to the authorities and maybe blacklisted by many internet service providers. You will lose a lot of subscribers this way and many more in potential subscribers.

3) Do not provide shocking, immoral, and disturbing content in your newsletters. It is hard to decipher the age of the recipient and many complaints may stem from these. Controversial issues also are to be avoided to not be branded by your subscribers. Stick to the nature of your site and business.

Always remember these tips in this article so that you can have a healthy relationship with your subscribers as well as be kept within the boundaries of what is allowed in sending mails to an opt-in list.

Try to be different and more creative than everyone else. Try to think of something no one's done before. That'll truly give your email some slamming edge over your competition!

How To Send Thousands To Your Home Based Business

More and more webmasters have the recurring dilemma on how to increase the flow of traffic in the websites. During the past few years many methods that been developed to solve this predicament. While most of them would work there are those that would not make even a small impact.

One of the methods that have spawned many success stories in driving traffic into websites is viral marketing. Viral marketing makes use of the tendency of a person to share something to find informative, entertaining or amazing.

Many companies bank on this behavior to spread their products and increase the popularity of their company or their online business website. Viral marketing makes use of many mediums in enticing this behavior. It might be in the form of an interesting story, an addicting flash game, an amusing video and many others that may catch a person's fancy.

This ingenious form of marketing is typically low cost and is a wonderful tool for any company to utilize. The benefit greatly overshadows the cost or efforts to initialize this marketing scheme. Any home based business website would greatly benefit that viral marketing.

Tell A Friend Script Marketing

One of the easiest methods in viral marketing is using a tell a friend script. This is a simple programming script that you can attach to the programming of your website. Generally, tell a friends script are installed in pages where a media is placed so that a person can easily send the media to any of his friends or his family members.

The basic concept of a tell a friend script is a script wherein a person may input his name, e-mail address, the recipient's e-mail address and send the media to the intended recipient much like an e-mail with an attachment. As the recipient receives the e-mail he wouldn't think of the mail a spam mail because he would see the sender's name as someone he or she knows and trust.

Tell a friend script eliminates greatly the chances of being blocked because they use the information inputted by the sender. This allows for wider spreading of this marketing method. It can be quite sneaky but it is very effective.

With the e-mail sent and opened the sent media will either be read, viewed or played. Also along with the mail would be a brief description of the company or site that sponsors the media sent. This allows for the introduction of either the site, company name or its products. The along with it is another tell a friend script.

Then the process begins again. As more people use the tell a friend script, more and more people will know of the existence of the sponsoring company or site. People who read the ads inside the mail who liked what they see would go and click on the link and visit the site. This drives traffic into the site resulting to great number of potential customers to your home business opportunity.

Tell A Friend Script Availability

A tell a friend script is very simple and does not require a complicated method of programming. In fact, you can copy paste a script and simply put it on an intended page. Finding one is even simpler. All you have to do is go to a search engine and type in the search box "tell a friend script" then press enter or click go.

In the search results page you will see many links that will direct you to a site where you can get a tell a friend script. It would just be a simple matter of looking and searching for the script and copying it to your intended web page.

With a tell a friend script viral marketing strategy you can drive traffic into your site which could potentially spell profits. This is a simple harmless script that offers great benefits for low cost paired with great creativity and foresight.

It is imperative that you have patience in using a tell a friend script. If your chosen media doesn't get the mileage that is expected of it, it may take some time before it gets spread or shared. But surely many people will see your ads and there is great probability that they will visit your home based business site increasing your traffic flow.

The 3 Things All Affiliate Marketers Need To Survive Online

Every affiliate marketer is always looking for the successful market that gives the biggest paycheck. Sometimes they think it is a magic formula that is readily available for them. Actually, it is more complicated than that. It is just good marketing practices that have been proven over years of hard work and dedication.

There are tactics that have worked before with online marketing and is continuing to work in the online affiliate marketing world of today. With these top three marketing tips, you will be able to able to increase your sales and survive in the affiliate marketing online.

What are these three tactics?

1. Using unique web pages to promote each separate product you are marketing. Do not lump all of it together just to save some money on web hosting. It is best to have a site focusing on each and every product and nothing more.

Always include product reviews on the website so visitors will have an initial understanding on what the product can do to those who buys them. Also include testimonials from users who have already tried the product. Be sure that these customers are more than willing to allow you to use their names and photos on the site of the specific product you are marketing.

You can also write articles highlighting the uses of the product and include them on the website as an additional page. Make the pages attractive compelling and include calls to act on the information. Each headline should attract the readers to try and read more, even contact you. Highlight your special points. This will help your readers to learn what the page is about and will want to find out more.

2. Offer free reports to your readers. If possible position them at the very top side of your page so it they simply cannot be missed. Try to create autoresponder messages that will be mailed to those who input their personal information into your sign up box. According to research, a sale is closed usually on the seventh contact with a prospect.

Only two things can possibly happen with the web page alone: closed sale or the prospect leaving the page and never return again. By placing useful information into their inboxes at certain specified period, you will remind them of the product they thought they want later and will find out that the sale is closed. Be sure that the content is directed toward specific reasons to buy the product. Do not make it sound like a sales pitch.

Focus on important points like how your product can make life and things easier and more enjoyable. Include compelling subject lines in the email. As much as possible, avoid using the word free because there are still older spam filters that dumps those kind of contents into the junk before even anyone reading them first. Convince those who signed up for your free reports that they will be missing something big if they do not avail of your products and services.

3. Get the kind of traffic that is targeted to your product. Just think, if the person who visited your website has no interest whatsoever in what you are offering, they will be among those who move on and never come back. Write articles for publication in e-zines and e-reports. This way you can locate publications that is focusing on your target customers and what you have put up might just grab their interest.

Try to write a minimum of 2 articles per week, with at least 300-600 words in length. By continuously writing and maintaining these articles you can generate as many as 100 targeted readers to your site in a day.
Always remember that only 1 out of 100 people are likely to buy your product or get your services. If you can generate as much as 1,000 targeted hits for your website in a day, that means you can made 10 sales based on the average statistic.

The tactics given above does not really sound very difficult to do, if you think about it. It just requires a little time and an action plan on your part.

Formula One, Sport Or Business?

Formula 1 is widely recognised as the most expensive sport in the world. The amounts of money involved are vast and multi million dollar contracts are signed at the start of every season. With such huge sums involved obviously the advertising sponsors of teams are extremely merchandise focused. This is evident when drivers are interviewed and are always seen in their manufacturers cap, emblazoned with various company logos.

Big business has driven Formula 1 since the seventies, mainly due to Bernie Ecclestone's efforts to rearrange the management structure and commercial rights packages. Multi national companies soon saw the benefits of this new generation of motor sport, with television rights worldwide, the advertising would be the main driving force with the selling of merchandise as a strong secondary income.

The formula in Formula 1 refers to the strict set of rules imposed on all teams for the cars they enter. It restricts things such as engine power, ground effect aerodynamics and team orders, supposedly levelling the playing field. However those teams, such as Ferrari and McLaren with the biggest financial support hold all the cards in a sport where more money means better results. These teams have been clever enough to develop full ranges of merchandise, especially Ferrari who, with the added respect of a well renowned road car company make a great deal from their extensive merchandise collection.

Formula 1 is a worldwide phenomenon, it is broadcast to every country in the world and the viewing figures are only really rivalled by the football world cup. It is estimated that the Brazilian Grand Prix in 2006 pulled in a gargantuan 84 million live viewers with 154 million viewers tuning in to watch at least part of the race. Official figures state that 580 million unique viewers watched the 2005 season whilst the Canadian Grand Prix that year was the world's third most watched sporting event. With viewing figures like these and with such a widespread fan base there is little wonder companies will pay such extortionate rates to get their logo on a Formula 1 car, or a team's merchandise range.

It is regarded by most authorities that Formula 1 would be nowhere without the dedication of the swarms of fans that adorn the grandstands come race day. The sport evokes emotion and passion in all of the countries it visits, none more so than in Italy where the Ferrari fans in their red uniform of official merchandise can be seen as some of the most fervent sports fanatics in the world. That is not to say that the other teams do not achieve dedication from their fans; the world of Formula 1 seems to play to many people's nationalistic tendencies.

Fans will follow a team based in their country, such as McLaren in Britain or BMW in Germany, or support drivers from their respective nations, the Spanish hold Fernando Alonso close to their hearts where as newcomer Lewis Hamilton has brought British audiences back to Formula 1 through his superhuman efforts. The sponsor's have seen this also as a potential money spinner with popular drivers fronting advertising campaigns and pushing more Formula 1 merchandise upon its faithful public.

So what can the future hold for the billion dollar industry that is Formula 1? Many see the introduction of bio-fuel engines and greater efficiency as paramount in today's climate of environmental concerns. Apart from this, further rule changes to level the playing field, and increase the safety of drivers are also important. More exciting however is the re-introduction of slick tires (banned since 1998), and the development of a night race, mainly due to time zones and extracting the biggest world audience possible.

Added to this a race in India is being planned, opening up one of the largest potential markets on the planet. Despite its protestations, Formula 1 is simply an advertising tool to sell merchandise for the companies who foot the bill for the most expensive gravy train in world sport. However with the tussles between drivers and the ongoing controversy of team orders Formula 1 is sure to provide excitement and entertainment to its millions of followers.

Top Business Tips: Web Video Is For You!

If you buy a newspaper you expect to see text and pictures. If you look at a website you expect text, pictures, sound and moving images. These days if you aren't using video you aren't really using the web.

1. THERE IS NO EXCUSE NOT TO. IT'S EASY.

With sites like Youtube, Google Video, Myspace Video and others sprouting up every day others adding video to your website has never been simpler. You can upload your digital content and then simply add a short piece of code to add it to your web page. You do not need any special technical knowledge at all.

2. IT'S FREE. YOU DON'T EVEN NEED YOUR OWN CONTENT.

You can also add other video that is relevant to your website's audience even more easily. If you spend a little time regularly 'curating' interesting content your visitors will come back to your site regularly to see what's new.

Obviously with your own content you can cater to your audience more exactly and get across your own key messages that no-one else's video will.

3. DISTRIBUTE YOUR OWN VIDEO TO AS MANY SITES AS POSSIBLE.

Unlike TV advertising distributing a video on the internet is free! If you make your video relevant and exciting to your target audience, brand it and tag it effectively it will drive traffic to your site.
Don't forget that there is a lot of stuff out there and unless you market it effectively you won't get seen, but this is now a matter of putting time and effort into creating the right content and niche marketing it rather than throwing a lot of money at 'airtime'.

4. BE ORIGINAL. TALK TO YOUR AUDIENCE. ENTERTAIN THEM.

You know your audience. You know what they're interested in. You know what will entertain them. On the internet niche marketing is everything. Creating and curating content is cheap, but nobody will take any notice unless it is showing something new and exciting. So be original.

5. LOOK AT YOUR CONTENT? COULD VIDEO REPLACE CERTAIN TEXT OR PHOTO ITEMS?

Think about your audience. How will video enhance their experience of your website? Will it be more effective in relaying key messages? What content already on your website would be helped by a video element, or could easily be converted into a short video?

6. USE THE WEB'S POSSIBILITIES. COMBINE TEXT, PHOTOS AND VIDEO.

The way people use video on the web is changing all the time. As the means of production and distribution have become more and more accessible, people can experiment and use video in ways that nobody would have predicted.

With webcams built into laptops Vlogging (video blogging) is almost easier than standard blogging. But bear in mind that text, photos and video do different things. In the right combination they are very powerful. In the wrong combination they are just confusing or boring.

7. USE VIDEO TO CONVEY MESSAGES YOU CAN'T CONVEY WITH TEXT.

Text explains things. With text you can give a lot of technical detail, background and talk about subtleties or abstract concepts.

Video demonstrates things. It can show emotions, personality, a process at work, how to do something tangible. It is immediate and very powerful tool, but it not subtle it is a blunt instrument which elicits an emotional response.

So if you use video to show talking heads, remember that the way they are saying it is as important as what they say. Also next time you want to report something consider whether you should include some video to demonstrate the things you are writing about.

8. IF YOU AREN'T USING VIDEO THEN YOU'RE ALREADY FALLING BEHIND.

How many of your competitors already have video of some kind on their website? What impression do you think that makes on visitors? What competitive advantage is it giving them? Does it look great or not that good? What could you do better?

9. WHAT IS YOUR COMPANY'S PERSONALITY? PLAY TO YOUR STRENGTHS.

What kind of 'brand' are you? You already have a logo and a corporate image, but video can tell an audience far more about you than those things. What assets do you have in your company that you can utilize in a video?

Maybe your advantage over a competitor is in your approachability, or in the personalities of your staff.

Maybe Kevin, on the sales desk, is your biggest asset because he is a born performer. Or maybe it's Sandra who is the funniest person you've ever met? Maybe they should be presenting your video ad? Or maybe doing a regular Vlog?

10. WHERE THE PROFESSIONALS COME IN.

Before you decide to make a video for your site take a pause and look at what is out there. Ask yourself questions about what key messages you want to impart and what outcomes you hope for. Think what resources you can allocate to the task. Once you have decided what you need talk to a professional.

Remember you are an expert in your field, not at creating moving images, it may be easier than ever to create video content but that means it is also easier than ever to create bad video content.

Go through your ideas with a video producer, they will make sure that you get what you want and it need not cost the earth. If you don't get professional help you may end up with a video that you don't end up using or which actually detracts from your site.

There are so many success stories you will hear about businesses making it good in the internet. The troubling thing is, there are maybe a tenfold or even a hundredfold of stories contradictory to theirs. Many have unsuccessfully launched a business enterprise that is internet based but only a handful shall succeed.

Is this through luck? That is even more remote. It takes good business sense and a lot of help and team effort. Most importantly, it is the eagerness to succeed and the determination to learn and the willingness to invest in a lot of hard work and some money.

The Very Basic Rule Of Online Business Success

Like Neo, traffic is "The One". Without traffic, all your effort would just go to waste. Every business needs customers, without them you wouldn't have anyone to sell your products to. In the internet world traffic is the walk in customer. The more traffic you have the more people would be able to sell your products to.

But like any business that's in every corner building or in the mall, not everyone that goes in will buy, but the greater of number that do come in to browse your merchandise, the greater number of people that will buy your products. It is a simple and known fact.

But, how do you get traffic, traffic large enough that could make a small percentage of eventual buyers enough to make a good profit. Many big companies generate traffic of tens of thousands a day and a measly ten to fifteen percent actually buys, but that small percentage is enough to provide them with good business.

Many of these success stories get their traffic from paying others. Yes that's right; you have to spend money to make money. Advertising is the key. The more people that knows that your site exists; the more people would of course go to your site, that's common sense.

While there are many ways that can get you advertising for free, this do not generate the same high volume as those methods that are getting paid. These paid advertisements include advertising with Google Adwords and Yahoo Search Marketing.

The Value of Searches To Find Your Online Business

The search and will be the easiest and fastest medium in finding what a person needs in the internet. Search engines have been very popular because they provide a vital service to many people. They are free and easy to use. With this popularity, they get many visitors and clicks that they are the most common sites that people go to. It is easy to understand why so many companies would pay to advertise with these search engines.

Search engines provide information to the millions of users that they have each day. They provide links to many sites that a user may be looking for. If your sites link pop up in the high ranks of the search results page, you get a great chance that they will go to your site. While search engine optimization is a cheaper and low cost way to get your site a high rank, paying for advertisements will ensure that you will be on the top ranks.

When you pay for your advertisements, it is like paying for your traffic. This may sound like not such a good idea, but the payoffs would tell a different story. When you pay for your traffic, you are guaranteed of a consistent traffic flow to your home based business site. You will never go with an empty sales day.

Paying for your Traffic To Increase Sales

Usually, you will be charged with the number of hits a link gets when your ads is clicked, this is called pay per click. For some search engines, you will be charged with the number of times your ad shows up when a certain keyword or keyword phrase is searched. It is imperative that you have good keyword content in your ad. There are many tools that aid you in using the right keyword for the right moment.

All the money you spend in paying for your traffic will not be for naught. You will get an impressive boost in traffic which will also result to a great boost in your online business sales figures. Paying for your traffic would be a really good idea and you will get all the benefits it has to offer. Thus, take the step today to pay for your traffic, but also remember the number one rule-stay within your budget.

Also known as the "name squeeze page" or "lead capture page", you can build your mailing list by funneling all of your would-be subscribers through the creation of a landing page. Not only do you do the work just once, your traffic driving efforts can be focused onto just one effective method.

The following are tips in creating a successful landing page that converts visitors into subscribers on a very huge percentage.

Success Tip 1: Offer a freebie in exchange for your visitor's email address. I very much endorse this method of building your mailing list. You can offer a special report or a sample of your paid product to your visitor in exchange for their details such as name and email address.

Use this to your advantage. If you are an accomplished pianist, mechanic, manager, or other professional, write a free e-book to be sent to potential customers. Use your talents online. You are unique and talented. Take advantage of that.

Success Tip 2: The landing page must be written professionally. When writing your page, treat it as if you are writing a sales letter. While you are not necessarily making a hard sale or try to get someone to buy your product upfront, being able to entice your visitors to give their details to you is just as important as selling.

Success Tip 3: Other than your opt-in form and perhaps important disclaimers and terms, there shouldn't be any other links on your landing page.

Success Tip 4: Rub in the benefits of the freebie you are offering more than a mere subscription to your newsletter. You should focus most of the attention of the letter on encouraging your prospective visitor to download your free offer. Later, you gently remind your prospect that he or she has nothing to pay but just merely subscribe to your newsletter in exchange for the freebie.

As a final reminder and conclusion, in order to build trust, you can include your hand-written signature or a photo of yourself explaining where you are coming from and how you can help your visitor through your free report on offer.

Remember the old sales adage: "People buy you, not what you are selling," so the more credibility you can build, along with your commitment to helping others, the more sales you will make on a daily basis. If you commit to helping others, the money will hunt you down!

As a clothes designer, you likely already understand the importance of your choice in clothing labels. Whether you are a small boutique, or a large multinational corporation, your clothing labels represent your business long after your products leave your warehouse. Your clothing labels present your name to your buyers and act as the ultimate form of long-term advertising for your clothing lines.

Once you have gone through all of the work to create a quality garment, nothing tops it off better than a good quality, custom clothing label! After garments have been purchased by someone who will be wearing them, the unique clothing labels go on to represent you as the maker. They are an excellent reminder to keep your company in mind for their future purchases.

Making the right clothing label choices for your garments is one of the biggest business decisions you will likely make for your clothing business. Though a label is relatively small, it has the potential to say a lot to your customers about your business and your quality standards. You want a high quality label which will stand the test of time. When someone asks one of your buyers, "Where did you get that amazing garment??" They can answer by showing them your high quality, still easily readable label!

Not all clothing labels are created the same way or with the same standards. There is a wide variation in fabric used, wide variation in size and even in style. Before you make the important business decision on which label will best suit your needs, it is vitally important for you to understand as much about the variety of clothing labels available as possible.

There are two basic categories of product and garment labels - printed and woven. Printed labels are often printed on materials such as satin, acetate, polyester, nylon and cotton twill. Printed clothing labels are available in a nearly unlimited supply of sizes, colors, and printing options. The one thing to look for in a printed label is a permanent ink which will last through the garment being repeatedly cleaned and through normal wear. The biggest advantage to printed labels is that they are less expensive than woven labels.

Woven labels are usually made of taffeta, satin or damask. Woven clothing labels are available in a nearly unlimited supply of sizes, colors, and printing options just as printed ones are. The major advantage to woven labels is that they will not fade during regular wearing and cleanings. The major disadvantage to satin and taffeta is that the labels can sag and often feel scratchy to the wearer. Damask and damask mixed fabrics are the most reliable and comfortable labels available today.

Clothing labels come in a variety of styles. You can find them in standard cut singles, rolls, with end-fold, middle-fold, or miter-fold. The right style is just as important of a decision as whether or not to use printed or woven labels. You will need to decide on where the labels will be used and which one meets your needs the best.

Once you have decided on the right label for your clothing, it is important that you find a reputable company to make your product labels. You should look for a company which is professional and interested in helping your business rather than just their bottom line. The ideal company will be ready and able to help you with making the tough decisions on which labels to use and how you would like them to look.

Your clothing labels present your name to your buyers and act as the ultimate form of long-term advertising for your clothing lines. Visit A B B Labels online at http://www.abblabels.com for more information on our wide variety of quality labels.

But of course, with the versatility the internet offers, there are many ways you could find that could help optimize the potential of your site or business in generating traffic.

While there are ways to jumpstart your traffic flows, many sites don't have the resources that others have to generate more traffic for your site. Well, you don't have to spend a cent; all you need is the proper mindset and a lot of eagerness. The great thing about forums and online communities is that you can target a certain group that fits the certain demographic that you are looking for. You can discuss about lots of things about the niche that you represent or offer. Another great advantage is that you know what you are getting into and you will be prepared.

With online communities and forums you can build a reputation for your company. Show them what you are made of and wow them with your range of expertise about the subject, with that you can build a reputation and build trust with the people in your expertise and knowledge.

You can also make use of newsletters. Provide people with a catalog of your products and interesting and entertaining articles. If you make it really interesting and entertaining, more people will sign up for your newsletter and recommend it to other people. Another great idea is trading links with other sites. You don't have to spend a cent. All you have to do is reach an agreement with another webmaster. With exchanging links, the efforts both sites do will benefit both sites.

Every traffic that goes to the site could potentially click on the link of your site and visit your site as well. This works well especially when both sites feature the same niche.

Write articles that could pique the attention of people that have interest in your product. Try writing articles that will provide tips and guides to other aficionados. Writing articles that provide good service and knowledge to other people would provide the necessary mileage your traffic flow needs.
