If there is one mistake in article marketing that many would be writers make, it is probably the inclination to write articles which are nothing more than one long advertisement. This can be very costly especially when you are trying to build web traffic. While people are on line for various reasons, the common denominator is they want information. All of the advertising and promotion should be reserved for that little section at the end of your article known as the resource box.

Christopher M. Knight the owner and founder of Ezine Articles, writes," the body of your article is where you "give" and the resource box is where you get to "take" for your article marketing gift of information."

Indeed. If people like the article you wrote, then chances are they will want to find out more. Your resource box is the doorway to readers getting additional information and you getting more site traffic.

Naturally your byline should contain your name. Pretty basic but you would be surprised at the number of articles which do not have it. It is also okay to include a brief description about yourself. The key word here is brief. Going on and on about what you did after graduating from Whatsamatter University won't cut it for your readers. Instead focus on the benefits you can provide to them.

Also make sure your link is active and pointing toward the page you want. Then check it and check it again. More website traffic has been lost due to the fact people click on a link and wind up on the wrong page or worse "page not found".

These are the basic components of your resource box. More than anything, it must be interesting and grab the attention of readers. A big part of this is your keyword selection. Keywords go along way in not only helping readers find your article but getting them to also click over to your website. There are a number of tools you can use for this; however you still cannot go wrong with Overture's free keyword selector tool.

A word to the wise here: Stay away from stuffing your articles and resource box with keywords. Search engines and article directories frown on this. Also stay away from using keywords that are not related to the topic of your article. This is a classic deception with some writers and does not do anything but tick people off.

You only get between three to five lines to persuade people to click to your website so give some real thought to your resource box. A good device to assist you with this, are the magazines at your local newsstand. Think about it. You walk by and see something that catches your attention. Chances are it's a sharp headline with a persuasive subtitle that triggers you to read further. It could also be the headline with a list of bullet points. The strategy here is to adapt some of the same attention grabbing techniques to your resource box.

Always keep in mind the main purpose of your article resource box is to get people to travel from the end of reading your article to your website. Make sure your article and resource box work as a team. Provide good article content while showing people the benefits of clicking your link. By doing this you are well on your way to more web site traffic

Whether you are just starting out in business or have owned your company for more than 10 years, the odds are good that at some point in your entrepreneurship you will consider hiring a marketing expert. In the past, this step was the norm as soon as the money became available and many a new business owner would beg, borrow or steal to find enough money to hire that marketing firm with the glossiest brochures that promised to make the new business owners company a rising star in a firmament filled with shooting stars. Yet did you know that hiring a marketing expect does not always pay off.

For example, if your business is not at a point where you will be able to pay for the marketing expert out of your net income, you might find yourself going too deep into the red with the marketing strategies and campaigns that are being suggested and to save your bottom line at least somewhat, you may end up cutting corners and only partially implementing an intricate marketing idea that would have worked had you but followed it to the letter. In this case, you wasted your money and a grand opportunity.

Hiring a marketing expert also does not pay off if you do not hire the right individual or firm to handle your advertising. For example, if you are a pet shop owner and are considering a television commercial, you want it to have a professional look and feel. Yet have you ever looked up from perusing the paper with the television on in the background when the volume of the commercials suddenly changed and the tone became really muted?

The odds are good that you ran across a commercial that was done on a very low budget and that is lacking the professional touch of an expert. Marketing experts usually hire actors to portray customers or clerks and they may even recreate a portion of your store in a studio rather than shooting the commercial in your actual location. If your marketing expert encourages you to have your wife, sister, daughter or Cousin should play a role in the commercial, the odds are that it will be a low budget production and you will want to stay away from this alleged expert.

Last but not least, hiring a marketing expert does not always pay off if you and the expert do not see eye to eye. If you envision a low key campaign and the expert wants to paper the town with flyers and ads, you know that you will not be able to work together. Find someone who is more to your liking and who will advise you in a manner that you can afford and that you can feel comfortable with.

Choosing a good niche subject to base your website around is one of the most important aspects of making money off of your articles. A good strategy as far as article internet marketing goes. This will give you a foundation to build from and you can target one general audience with a group of keywords that they are most likely to be searching for. You should take each one of these keywords and use it for the basis of one article on each page. This way, even though you are targeting one specific subject, you will be sure to interest a wide variety of people in that one niche. They may also find other pages that interest them, which will keep them returning to your site to learn new information about the niche subject.

The best way to find keywords for your niche subject is to use a keyword software program such as Keyword Elite or Keywords Analyzer, and type in the word that is the subject of your niche. This will generate a list of keywords or phrases that contain your niche and will also show you approximately how many people search for each word or phrase. Remember to clean-up the list for irrelevant keywords and get as many targeted keywords as you can get. This is extremely important in article internet marketing.

Some software programs may also tell you how many sites are out there to compete with for each word or phrase (this will help you know if those sites are worth competing with for the number of searches out there). You then deicide which of these would be most profitable by determining which have the least amount of competitors, so that you have a chance at making it to the first or second page of search engine results, but that also have a decent amount of people looking for that keyword or phrase each month or each day. You can use these free tools; http://inventory.overture.com/d/searchinventory/suggestion/ or http://freekeywords.wordtracker.com/. These will be the keywords or phrases that you will base the pages of your niche site on.

If there are a number of topics that you like, pick the one that you feel most comfortable with and then, once that site is built and generating some revenue, you can start another site. The most profitable website marketers, who use their talent of finding niches and combining that with good site content and a handful of affiliate links, have a good amount and variety of niche sites that they have started. You are never limited in what you can do with niche website marketing, as well as in article internet marketing, unless you find out that you do not have the marketing skills or the needed funding to make it happen. Otherwise, the sky is the limit!

Of course, in the best of worlds you get the decision first and through this action you build a much faster relation to your prospect.

There is one tool or strategy that has only this target in mind. You probably have heard of or seen one. You might have bought from one. You even might have thought of making one yourself. There must be a reason why you are constantly stumbling over these mini-sites.

What makes the mini-site used by so many internet marketers?

A mini-mite is a website based preferably with 1-4 pages. And they are not there to create a relation to you as a prospect or customer. They are only (or should be) made to get a decision from you. Buy or not buy. A very targeted marketing tool you might say.

A powerful way of a mini-site structure could be made as follow and have made, some marketers, alot of money:

#1 Your logo (plus some additional photo that catches the prospects attention and sets them in the right mood) and preferable a clear navigation with your links horizontally below. It makes it easier to view the content of your offer, witch makes your prospect less stressed.

#2 The headline with a powerful benefit. Always benefit before feature.

#3 The testimonial - If you don't have any testimonials yet, email some of your customers or send the product to a few of your prospects for free in exchange for their testimonial. You got to have your credentials.

#4 Give your customer a small introduction to the subject and tell them about problems in this area and build up on the frustration they feel because of them.

#5 Introduce your product. If it is an informational one, it is very important to give it a psychological appearance.

#6 Now you give your prospect all the benefits with your product. How will it solve their problems. Create desire!

#7 Create an irresistible offer and call to action. Bonuses - benefit - deadline.

#8 Give your prospect a guarantee. The longer and deeper guarantee, the more sale. But be sure you are able to match it.

#9 Finaly give them the #1 benefit and ask for the order. If you don't ask for it, they probably won't do it. Make it as easy as possible for them to order.

This is one proven way. But as an internet marketer you always have to test it continuously adapted to your specific market.

If you are using it to sell an affiliate's product you should always head for the subcription before you give the affiliate link away. Otherwise you might loose the most important asset - subcriber to your newsletter. Be creative!

Jim Edwards has stated as follow:
- I wasn't making any money, but once I learned how to set up two, three, four-page Mini-Sites, that's when the money really started coming in, and my online business went from being just a money hobby to a serious, fulltime income.

I wish you got enough stuff to take the leap and begin to build your own mini-site profits. This could be your most important online business decision of your life.

If you want to start using this marketing technique there is a really nice free video tutorial on how to make it happen. You will find a link at my site...

Digital signage is making itself felt in a variety of vertical niches, like retail stores, higher education and medical facilities, but no where is it finding greater acceptance as an attractive alternative to printed signs than at hotels, resorts, convention centers and other businesses falling under the heading of "hospitality industry."

The reason is simple: These sorts of businesses have a great need to convey information that changes daily -or even hourly- to the general public. Digital signage is an appealing solution because it allows the content of a sign to be updated quickly and at little expense. With the right software and network architecture, it's even possible to tap into existing property management software systems to extract event and scheduling information so signs remain fresh with minimal human intervention.

An added benefit of digital signs for hoteliers and others is they can be used to promote the facility's restaurants, lounges, shops and activities so guests stay on premise and spend their money with the hotelier.

Years of serving the needs of the hospitality industry reveal that to attain those two goals, the hoteliers and others in this industry segment put digital signs to work in six categories, including: in-room channel; reader boards; door cards; way finding; advertising signage; and hybrid interactive.

Here's a brief description of each:

In-room channel
In in-room channel applications, a digital signage media server feeds an in-house cable TV system available in every guest's room. This approach can be simple -in the form of graphics and text to convey basic information about amenities and services- or much more elaborate where video commercials and promotional video messages are inserted.

Reader boards
Reader boards deliver information about events, including times and locations, to guests and visitors. Stationed in strategic high-traffic areas, digital signage reader boards increasing are replacing print and LED-based signs for this application. Typically, reader boards are oriented in a vertical (portrait) mode.

Door cards
Like reader boards, digital door cards inform visitors and guests of events, times and places. However, door cards are generally horizontal in orientation (portrait), much smaller (15 to 19 inches) and are positioned near the entrance of conference rooms, galleries, ballrooms and venues to inform guests of what's scheduled to occur inside.

Way finding
In this application, digital signs replace static directory signage to help guide guests to their destinations. Often, these signs can serve a dual purpose as advertising signs when traffic conditions are appropriate.

Advertising
A common goal of hotels, resorts and other hospitality businesses is to encourage patrons to spend their money on premise. To that end, these businesses create shops, restaurants, lounges and other amenities. Digital signs are a natural advertising medium for these businesses, because they offer the ability to day-part messaging so, for example, the same sign can advertise a coffee shop in the morning and a lounge in the evening.

Hybrid interactive
Offering the impact of digital signage and the interactivity of a kiosk, hybrid interactive digital signs are being used in hospitality settings to augment customer service experiences. For example, a hybrid interactive digital sign could be used at the concierge desk to allow guests to drill down to the information they desire when a hotel concierge is assisting another customer.

Digital signs may be used in other ways by the hospitality industry, but these six basic applications form the core. With digital signage, hotels, resorts and others in this market are better informing guests and reaching them with messaging that has a greater impact approaches.

Anyone who starts a home based business has high hopes for success. Many feel that with just a few simple ads the business will boom and take off into a major business. However, many find that customers are actually few and far between when it comes to a home based business. With the following tips you can help to market your home based business and turn it into a success.

While family and friends can be helpful when it comes to a home based business you should also look to expand your network. To do this consider the places where you can find good customers. Some ideas include local civic associations, regional trade shows, professional conferences and chamber of commerce meetings. If you have an online business then you may want to consider checking message boards to help build your online mailing list.

Whenever you find someone and the situation calls for it, talk to them. Everyone has the potential of being a customer if you just talk to them. The possibilities are endless and it gives you something to do instead of just waiting around for a bus or airplane. Just striking up a conversation can bring you in a lot of additional business.

Even if you don't have an online business, one of the best advertising methods is online. Whether you are selling a local product or not, online is a way to get in contact with millions of potential customers from the comfort and convenience of your home computer.

When discussing you business it may be a good idea to leave out the fact that you have a home based business. Although a great many companies are starting up home based aspects of their companies, many people still view these businesses as unprofessional. Rather, focus on the product or service you are selling since this is what is important and this is what the customer wants.

Depending on the service you are offering consider doing a few local demonstrations. This can help increase the publicity for your business. Or you can offer to do a local service featuring your talents for free such as decorating a local restaurant. This way you can increase your popularity and possibly gain further sales later.

For the top marketing techniques consider attending meetings that focus on your business industry and talking with people about their successes and problems. This can help you learn what to do and what to avoid for your business. Another option is to read any trade publications for your business industry. Getting into the industry allows you to find someone that you can go to with a specific question or problem that you may encounter with your business. Just always remember to follow up with the individual and thank them for their help so they know you appreciate it.

A few years ago, pop-up windows were all the rage in Internet marketing. It seemed that every time one opened a web page they would be bombarded with offers for this or that. It had gotten to the point where surfing the Internet was almost like playing a video game; when the ads would pop-up one would try and close them out before another one came. This is precisely why we have seen the decline in the use of pop-up windows on the Internet today; surfers simply do not even look at the pop-ups anymore. They close the windows out before even reading the ad. Very often, a surfer will even leave your site if there are too many pop-up ads. They simply do not want the hassle of closing those windows while trying to obtain the information that your site has to offer. This information, while valuable, is not as valuable as the surfers time. Studies have shown however, that even with these set backs, pop-up windows are still an effective method of Internet marketing.

Is there some way that pop-up windows can be less irritating and still be effective? Yes! What if the pop ad were seen upon exiting your site instead of entering? This would allow the surfer to obtain the information that they need from your site, feeling that they were able to come and go quickly without being hassled by other ads and offers all the while making the surfer happy. You have left the surfer with a positive attitude and therefore are more likely to respond to the pop advertisement. This is being accomplished more and more by using what is being called pop-under windows. When the surfer comes to your site, the ad is opened discretely behind the your web page. Then, upon leaving your site, after obtaining all the information that they need , will see the ad and therefore be more likely to respond. Since the surfer has the information, he has achieved his objective and is now open to do other things; ideally respond to the pop under advertisement.

Not all pop-windows are created equally. There are some things that you can do to make your pop-windows, whether pop-up or pop-under more effective. The pop-window should be easy to "escape" from. If the surfer does not want to see the ad, but has a hard time closing it out, they will likely become frustrated and could leave your site all together. You should either use a button to that will allow the surfer to close the window or be sure that the "x" is easily visible. Another good idea is to use a script that utilizes cookies. Cookie will prevent pop-windows from overloading the surfer since you can decide the frequency of the pop-windows, rather than each time a page is opened. Also be sure that there is no more than one pop-window per page.

When creating a pop-window, you will be asked to fill out a short information form, select the length of cookies, and choose the layout of the pop-window. When choosing the design of the pop-window, you can increase the effectiveness by creating a large headline that includes benefits that will be most appealing to the customer. You should also consider using incentives and lastly do not ask the customer to read a long and drawn out advertisement. Keep the message simple yet powerful and your pop-ads will be sure to generate profits for your site.

Savvy business owners know the value of testimonials, yet many don't understand exactly how to take full advantage of this fabulous form of third-party endorsement. What's a third-party endorsement? Someone else tooting your horn for you!

According to dictionary.com, "testimonial" comes from the root word "testimony," which derives from the Latin root testis (witness) and means "evidence in support of a fact or assertion; proof." So how can you make the most of testimonials in your marketing materials, Web copy, brochures, ads, e-zines, and business cards? There are seven simple rules to keep in mind.

RULE #1: Use the right testimonials. Although we may be a bit skeptical about the people who offer all those endorsements, at the end of the day, if no one is willing to say how good your product or service is, you're less likely to entice new prospects to give you a try. Generally speaking, the more testimonials, the better - as long as each one promotes a different benefit or overcomes a different objection.
Benefit-related testimonials answer questions that describe your business's features and benefits, like:

- What kinds of problems have you successfully solved for others?
- How does your knowledge/expertise help your clients?
- Why are people willing to pay you more than they'll pay others in your industry?

Objection-related testimonials address the questions and doubts people might raise about doing business with you, such as:

- You offer high-ticket items where the cost might be a factor.
- You have a difficult-to-reach location.
- You are new to the business.

RULE #2: Avoid the "I HOPE so!" factor. The one thing that will nullify your testimonial faster than you can say, "I wanna be a millionaire" is the "I Hope So!" factor. I recently saw a gorgeous, full-color, 12-page brochure for an elite summer camp; we're talking tuition of $1,450 per WEEK. Understandably, they paid big bucks for this marketing piece. The entire brochure was stunning, until I reached the testimonial page. The first two testimonials for the camp read:

"My son had a lot of fun at XYZ Summer Camp."

and

"My daughter really enjoyed her time at camp -
she made some great new friends."

You've got to be kidding, right? For $1,450 per week, my kid had better have the time of his life at your summer camp! They had the right idea, but the wrong testimonials.

RULE #3: Be specific. What would have improved the above "I HOPE so!" testimonials? Specifics. "Jack had always been terrified of the water, but during his time at camp, he won the ribbon for most improved swimmer!"

When it comes to a business testimonial, make sure your clients include the details about how much your product or service helped them. They increased their online conversions by 39.3% or they lost 23 pounds or they met the girl of their dreams after 17 first dates. The key here is to use exact numbers; do not round up or down. Rounded numbers sound less "real" and less convincing.

Also, as much as possible, use identifying information for the people who provide your testimonials. First name, last name, city, Web address, e-mail address. Let your prospects know these testimonials came from REAL people.

RULE #4: Ask for testimonials as soon as you've finished a job or delivered a product. Your satisfied clients often are more than willing to give you a testimonial - but like you, they're busy, so they won't always voluntarily offer. Sometimes, you have to ask!

The best time to ask for a testimonial is while your client or customer is beaming with satisfaction at the great job you've done. At this point, they are most inclined to offer glowing praise, full of the emotion that will connect with your future customers. You may still get a great testimonial if you wait until later to ask, but your chances of getting the best possible promotion from them are improved if you catch them in the moment.

RULE #5: The more senior/famous the individual, the more weight their testimonial carries. It just stands to reason that people are inclined to pay more attention to the president of a company than to a $10/hour employee. Likewise, celebrity being what it is, we pay even more attention to famous people. Reach for the stars when it comes to your testimonials. If you've impressed a high-profile client, ask them to share the details about their fantastic experience working with you.

Go after testimonials from the most senior / famous / credible people possible, but make sure the testimonials are true. It will do you no good to have someone famous vouch for your stunning ability to design Olympic-quality swimming pools if you've never built a pool in your life.

RULE #6: Make sure you know the person you're asking to testify for you. Because a testimonial means that someone is vetting you, having an individual give you a testimonial automatically links you, by association, with that person and/or their business - for good or ill. So do your homework before asking for a testimonial. Make sure the person speaking on your behalf is someone you want to be associated with.
And vice versa. If you are asked for a testimonial, be generous and truthful. But if you don't know the person very well, or you'd really rather not provide them a testimonial, be honest and tell them. Don't let yourself be badgered into doing something that doesn't feel right.

A testimonials is not retractable. Once given, it's given. You can delete it from your marketing copy, but if you've been matched with an unsavory person or business, it can be difficult to undo that "guilt by association."

RULE #7: Give people choices. People are more likely to give you a testimonial if you make it easy for them. Offer them a choice of ways to provide their testimonials.

- Have people write their own testimonial and e-mail it to you - or, better yet, send you a copy on their letterhead.

- Put some thoughts down on paper for your client and ask them to OK your pre-written testimonial and/or send you a copy on their letterhead.

- Gain control over what your client will say by interviewing them about their experience of working with you. Ideally, the interviewer is a third party, the reason being that your client could be hesitant to be completely honest if you were asking the questions, even if their potential comments were positive. This process works well because it allows you to preselect the questions, in effect guiding the speaker's comments. Later, you can edit the responses to craft a complete testimonial that best suits your needs. You can include all or some of the words from the interview, provided that you do not alter the meaning with your editing.

- Give your client an added incentive to provide a testimonial by adding their picture. A photo helps both them and you. For them, it is an additional opportunity for personal recognition; for you, it personalizes the testimonial, adding an air of authenticity and credibility to it.

- Think about an audio testimonial. One way is to have them leave you a message on your voice mail. This allows you to listen, duplicate, and transcribe it yourself. Another option is to purchase a software program that allows you to capture and preserve voice data for recordings or use on your Web site.

- Even more powerful than audio testimonials are those captured on video, and it's never been easier. Using your cell phone or mini-Web cam to capture the power of a real person speaking on your behalf is unmatched in its ability to convince others of your greatness.

MLM marketing, known also as affiliate marketing, is a way for companies to increase their exposure on the internet without having to do all the work themselves or hiring full time employees. By paying marketers a commission for each sale they make through ads, web sites and other links they post on the internet, companies are able to bring in more traffic and expand brand awareness. Many companies now use this form of marketing because the demand for it has grown. Full time affiliate marketing professionals make huge profits each year promoting a few products on the internet.

If you are interested in starting an MLM marketing program for your company, it is relatively easy to do. First, your business needs have a reputation for being legitimate because there are many scams out there that have made people more cautious. The second item you need is a product that can be marketed online easily. This includes a website that features a wide variety of products or services that people will find valuable. If you have a product that can only be marketed to certain groups, you may not find too many people who are interested in selling your products.

The third item you will need is computer software that tracks each of your marketers so they will receive the commissions they deserve. Each marketer will receive code that is individual to their account. This code will allow them to add your logo and URL on the web. You can choose to pay out commissions when you choose but make sure you let your marketers know when you will be doing so.

Training MLM marketers will be up to you. Some companies provide short training sessions that teach people how to become more efficient in online marketing. While this is not necessary, if you want them to succeed, you may want to provide some helpful tips. You can also limit the amount of marketers so the web is not saturated with your logo. Saturation in the marketplace will reduce the number of commissions marketers will receive which will discourage them from continuing.

Advertise on your website that you have an MLM program and include a form to fill out. This form can be used to ask for the marketers website if they have one, their experience, and where they plan on marketing your product. This will make it easier for you to choose the right people for the job. MLM marketing programs can be very successful as long as you are adequately prepared to start one. A successful marketing program will save you a lot of time when it comes to marketing your business so you can focus on other areas that require your attention.

By now you probably understand the importance of getting your own website. It's the command center of building and growing your online business. From capturing visitor contact information to promoting a multitude of products and services, it all starts with establishing your presence online.

Now all you have to do is get the word out and this is where it gets tricky. People are bombarded with so much information today that it becomes easier to tune out a large portion of it. This goes double for advertising, especially on the internet where you are constantly being prodded to buy this or that. The key is to have a plan of action. In this case focus on providing good quality content on your website. People want information and a break from the sales pitch. Providing useful content in your own voice can raise your internet profile considerably.

You are building something long term that will take time so be patient with yourself and your business. In the meantime there are free and cost effective internet web site promotion techniques you can implement right now.

1. Submit to Search Engines and Directories

Normally you only have to submit your website to the Big Three search engines: Google, Yahoo and MSN. But there are tons of search engines you can use depending on how much time you want to spend doing this. To automate the process you can always find some free software or online service that will do the work for you.

This is not always the case as far as directories are concerned. There are literally thousands of directories online and most require you to submit your website manually. While this can be a painstaking process, the payoff is you get backlinks to your site (something the search engines love) and your web traffic grows in a more natural way (something the search engines also love). It takes awhile to do this but again you are building a business for the long term.

2. Deal or No Deal

You should always be on the lookout for webmasters who are willing to reciprocal link or do a joint venture agreement. Make sure that what they are doing is related to your niche without being in direct competition with your web site. Do not trade links just for the sake of getting them. For instance there are websites that are focused on one topic but their link directory contains many websites not related to the site theme. Search engines do not look too kindly on this, so do a little research and target the webmasters that complement your business.

3. The Classifieds

There are many classified ad sites online but the two that have become virtual powerhouses are Craig's List and US Free Ads. Craig's List has taken local classifieds across the country and forums of various topics and placed them all under one roof. Some marketers have used this very effectively to promote their business. As of late however Craig's List has been overshadowed by US Free Ads a classified directory that offers Google friendly pages, a free online html editor so you can place images and links in your ads and the potential to get a lot of traffic to your website. They also offer a premium membership which allows you to place unlimited ads, generate your own product catalog, link to your own shopping cart and much more. As of this writing the premium membership is only nine dollars a year. Definitely worth a look.

Getting your website noticed takes a lot of work. Start with one of the tips above; get it up and running then move to the next. Above all be persistent. Find what works, stick to it and very soon your audience will find you.

Learning how to write an effective sales piece is the closest thing to picking money off a tree in the world. You can literally turn your thoughts into money over and over again.

But of course, it is not an easy skill to learn. It can take years, but, by studying the basics you can increase the effectiveness of your marketing efforts tremendously with a few simple concepts, and do it in just a few days.

Most sales letters follow the same formula no matter how long or short they are. As a rule of thumb, long sales letters always out perform shorter ones , as long as the content is relevant.

In other words, it should be exactly as long as it needs to be in order to produce the sale. (The more you give, the more you will get.)

There is rarely a sales letter that is too long. Remember, this is not for you. It is for your prospects, so take yourself and your feelings out of the subject, and make it as long as it needs to be to get the job done!

Creating a sales letter that holds a customer's attention until the end and takes them through a planned emotional journey is the art.

That is what takes years to learn. How to suck someone into your sales copy and spit them out at the other end with a hysterical urge to whip out their credit card and buy from you.

There is a formula. Some may even call it manipulative. This means you must be very careful and use this power with caution and for good, or it will come back to haunt you.

There is no way I could even begin to scratch the surface of how to write compelling sales copy, as it takes years of practice to master, but here is the basic format for most sales letters, and you can use this anywhere! Emails, phone calls, websites, conversations, etc.

Ok, back to the structure: Headline: Qualify them. This mentions a benefit or a pain that the reader wants or has so they can raise their hand and say "He is talking about me!"

Story/Problem: Expose their pain. Build a relationship through a story. People get pulled into stories and find it hard to move on until the end, just like reading a great book. The solution; I found a solution. Here is what happened and how it will help you.

Educate: This is how and why it works. Offer; Here is how you can get it and ease your pain/increase your pleasure. Know what you are really selling.

I will tell you right now it is not your company and it is not your product. You are not selling ORAC values or compensation plans. You are selling a way to avoid pain or acquire pleasure.

If you are selling a health product for example, you are not selling the ingredients of it. You are selling a longer and healthier life. You are selling relief from a painful ailment so grandma can play with the grandkids again.

You are selling prevention and peace of mind over the fear (pain) of failing health. When you are marketing your opportunity, you are not selling compensation plans or training calls or a debt-free balance sheet.

You are selling pleasure through the attainment of wealth. You are selling pride and achievement. You are selling the education of their children. You are selling their dream car. You are selling the solution to painful bills and a frustrated spouse. You are selling a solution (to pain), and benefits (pleasure).

"John, if I could show you how to make guaranteed $2,000/mo within nine months so your daughter Suzy can go to college and become a doctor like she has always wanted."

"And if I could show you how to do that without making a major investment and without spending more than one-two hours a night on your business, is that something you would be interested in?"

Assuming those are the reasons why John gave to you, do you think the ingredients of your product or the date your company was founded will really matter to him? Nope. Sell the solution. Sell the benefits.

How do you tell the difference between a feature and a benefit? Most people cannot. It is rather easy actually. This little trick is priceless and will shock you the first time you test your emails and other writings with it. After every sentence you write, jump into the shoes of your prospect and ask this question: "so what?" Come on, try it.

This was taken from a well known MLM company's website and reflects the norm throughout the industry.

"Designed with the part-time member in mind. An incentive to achieve with rewards at every level. Dynamic Compression on the 2% Emerald bonus and on the Diamond Override Bonus! My Biz Bonus for 20% of CV on new Team Member's cumulative orders, for the life of the new member's orders.

Plus, a Consumer Bonus that pays 50% of the CV on the first order on new CDPI sign-ups! A Top Distributor's reward for bringing in new business and new volume. The highest overall payout of any major company in the industry, great awards and recognition.

Now read each sentence and ask the question, so what?(Please do that now). See what I mean? It is meaningless until you show me how I can benefit from it! Now let us turn these features into benefits.

An incentive to achieve with rewards at every level so as your business grows, so will your compensation. Dynamic Compression on the 2% Emerald bonus and on the Diamond Override Bonus which will maximize the size of your check and put more money in your pocket! The highest overall payout of any major company in the industry will ensure that your time, money, and efforts are invested wisely, and that you earn what you really deserve!

See the difference?

So many people looking to start a home business are under the impression that you have to become a door-to-door sales person, professional telemarketer, or a Mary Kay lady doing home meetings to make money.

All wrong. (Well, unless you like to do that sort of thing).

Here is the rule we live by as home business owners, we sort and we market. We do not sell! One of the quickest ways to fail in network marketing is to become a sales person.

A selling superstar is easy to spot. They jump in with two feet and start sponsoring people like crazy, I am talking 20-30 a month. You could not be more excited, and you think you have just hit the MLM jackpot!

Here is what will happen. Within two months, all of those new reps sponsored by your super- star, start dropping like flies until nobody is left. Why does this happen? Because people cannot be duplicated.

The superstar's new people cannot do what he did, and he cannot figure out why. After all, it was so easy. This is why having an effective system is so important. Systems are semi-duplicatable because they level the playing field for everyone.

I say semi-duplicatable, because once again, people don't join a company, they join you, The moment you starting explaining anything about your product or business you are selling. If you say anything more than the name of the company or product and cite a testimonial, you are selling.

If you start to tell them the ingredients or price, you are selling. If you start to tell them what it does, you are selling. If you start to explain the compensation plan or give the background of the company founders, you are selling! Don't do it!

Professionals sort. Amateurs sell. Think of yourself as a professional promoter. It is your job to hand out information to as many people as possible about a very exciting business opportunity or product. That's it.

Your only job is to get out marketing tools to as many people as possible because it is these marketing tools that do the selling for you. Whether it's a website, e-book, CD, brochure, or DVD movie... They contain your presentation.

They do all of the legwork for you. Gone are the days when you have to know anything and everything about your product or business, and sit down for an hour across from someone at Denny's to show the plan.

The tools will sell the business and the product. You simply need to worry about selling yourself as a leader. Listen, you could take a 50-year-old, fifth generation farmer and put him to work in the field with some hand tools, or you could take a kid from New York, and stick him in a tractor.

Who will be able to harvest the bigger crop? The kid from New York! It was not his lifetime of experience that gave him the edge. It was his tools. Let the marketing tools do the sorting and selling for you.

Do not waste your time with the people who don't get it. Don't wonder why your best friend or next door neighbor did not see the same opportunity you did.

That is not your concern. Your concern is giving them the opportunity to simply say yes or no. All you are doing with each new person you expose to your business or product is creating the opportunity for something good to happen. The more opportunities you
create, the more success you will have.

In the end, when it comes to selling a business opportunity, your results will eventually
fall onto your shoulders. Do you have personal value to offer this person?

Are you an Alpha leader? Will they gain power by associating with you? So how do you know when you are selling so you can avoid it?

The following ad was a very successful pay-per-click ad on Google in 2004 for a $500 training seminar.

"(Company name) Reps. Come see how I got 79 sign ups in 90 days without 'calling' anyone."

Here is what that ad really says: "I am an expert. I got 79 sign ups in 90 days. I can help you. This is EASY and FAST. I did it without calling anyone. You do not know how to do this. I can show you how and make your life easier. Let me ease your pain and help you sponsor more reps."

But here is the real kicker: these guys are charging $500-$1,000 to get access to this information, and people are just throwing money at them left and right. The only problem with their system is that it is NOT automated. It is a sales job, and takes too much time away from building their primary program.

You are probably struggling to get your prospects to hand over $100-$300 to get started in your business, yet these guys are making a fortune promoting a "how to" course that will show people how to build the floundering business you sold them in the first place!

Why? Because you are only providing a part of the solution the prospect is looking for when you are promoting your business with your current sales tools. You are leaving out the blue prints/system, so they are going somewhere else to buy that, and as you can see, people are willing to pay big bucks for it, VERY MAGNETIC!

Now we will look at the typical ad you see put out there by people who do not understand the psychology behind marketing yet. This is a real ad I pulled from Google: Breaking News (Company), Fastest Growing Team In (Company), Questions? Feel free to call me. www.(xxxxxxxx).com

What the ad really says: "Another company is launching. We have the best team. Call me."

What the average network marketer who reads that ad will think: "Another company is launching. Big deal I have already joined three start-ups in the past, and I am still broke. "Fastest growing team?" That is what we had last time. My team did not grow fast.

Call you with questions? Why so you can pitch me on your "big deal company." No, thanks, I already have one." Did it appeal in any way to the triggers people respond to? Nope! You have to think very carefully about the ads you write because you will get EXACTLY what you ask for!

Do you want to attract the bottom feeders looking for "quick and easy," or do you want to attract leaders who know there will be an investment of time, money, and effort involved.

These next few ads promote weakness and attract LAZY people. You will get a high response rate, but you are deceiving yourself.

"5x9 Matrix With Massive Spillover! Join Today for Only $20! We Do All the Selling For You!"

"New Company Launch! We Build One Leg for You! Grab Your Position Now!"

This next ad is SOOOOO BAD that I truly hope this person stumbles across my book. Use the "so what" rule and see what it reveals.

"MLM Business Opportunity, New Business with Great Products Dare to venture on a New Frontier."

And then there was: "Want a Marketing Miracle? Plug into Turnkey Global Marketing For Instant & Long-Lasting Success!

Instant and long-lasting? Right. This is the kind of junk you DO NOT want to advertise IF you want to attract real long-term leaders.

The next ad is a GOOD AD and variations of it have been used for two-three years now. The headline sorts people and grabs the type you want to hear from. Line two states a massive benefit/solves a problem.

The offer of the ad is a generic report. Lots of value. Provides the SOLUTION to a painful problem: Not enough reps.

"Attn: Hardworking Network Marketers. Add 20-30 People Per Week. 5 MLM Secrets Free Report."

People know if they are hardworkers or not, so only the people that know you have to work hard to be succcesful will contact you. The numbers in the ad are also very realistic and achievable. On top of that, the person realizes they will probably learn something beneficial from the free secrets and therefore they will be willing to contact you or go to your website.

It is my hope that, if you are not satisfied with your advertising results, you learned something very valuable about how to magnetically attract people to you through your advertising. Good Luck!

Your opt-in email list marketing strategy should be to get as many targeted subscribers as possible. The tips below should help you get more hungry buyers and if you develop your own personal style that resonates to your audience, you should be able to build a massive list.

I will never stress this enough; content is king and your subscribers will reward you if you can give them your best advice.

Let me give you more tips here for your opt-in email list marketing strategy;

One important component of your website should be your squeeze page. A squeeze page is a simple web page who's purpose is to squeeze some information, in our case their email address and their name, to build our list.

Don't put anything else on this page to distract them from this objective. Certainly don't display Adsense ads on your squeeze page.

Your squeeze page should offer a free mini-course or a series of helpful tips that can be delivered to their inbox through an auto-responder.

It's a nice way to get repeat buyers and bring them back to your website (nice traffic). Encourage them to sign-up by listing the benefits in bullet points describing the useful information they will receive. Sell it to them and make sure they know everything you will do for them.

Make an irresistible offer and post some testimonials.

Write some informative articles about your subject or service and submit them to ezines and articles directories. In your bio box at the bottom of the article, make sure you send them to your squeeze page to get them to sign-up to your list. Again, make them salivate at the thought of all the great advice and information they will receive.

You should see a nice stream of new subscribers if your articles are about popular topics as more readers see that you have valuable information to share.

If you have more than one list you can cross promote. As long as your lists are on a related subject. When people sign-up for one list, put the links to another sign-up page to another list on the thank you page. Point to them that they will not receive duplicate information.

You can subscribe to list building programs. Another way to boost your opt-in email list marketing. Some programs are free and you get to promote to a downline and others you pay per subscribers.

The effectiveness of this strategy varies but if you are careful and know how to write good copy, it can work nicely.

Either way examine carefully where the subscribers are coming from. You may run into problems later.

And finally a word about video.

There are tons of videos online. Youtube comes to mind as great source for videos. Have you ever thought about using videos for a short tutorial? This is a great way to talk about your business and how you can help them if they come to your website.

Don't underestimate this powerful opt-in email list marketing strategy.

Your squeeze page could also present a video clip about something you offer once they subscribe also.

One of the biggest mistakes I see made by well-meaning network marketers is the attempt to write, create, and place advertisements without any real training.

I just picked up this month's issue of the Home Business Advertiser, which basically serves as a targeted advertising platform for network marketers, spiced up with a handful of articles by industry leaders.

Here is the sad part: I am going to guess there are about 200 ads in the magazine ranging in size from small classifieds to full pages. Out of these 200+ ads, I found less than ten which were truly good, and half of those were professionally written and tested by the large lead companies that placed them!

The rest: Page, after page, after page, of wasted time, potential, and money. Unless you know EXACTLY what you are doing, DO NOT place anything more than a
small, inexpensive classified while you learn the ropes.

The one and ONLY goal of your advertising is to elicit a direct action from the reader which allows you to capture their contact information. Period.

Your ad prompts them to call an 800 number, or sends them to a website where they can leave their contact information in exchange for something of value. (You have to give them a d*** good reason to leave their info, Or they will not).

Whether you send them to a website or 800 number, those tools have ONE PURPOSE: To capture that information. Not to sell them on your business. Not to tell them about your company. Just capture their information.

Once you have their information you need to establish a good relationship with that person. They will only buy from you if they like you, and most people only like people they trust. You do that by giving them great information and great products that truly make a difference to their lives.

And don't just give them info through a bi-monthly newsletter, establish many ways for them to learn about you and your services.

This is key: The fact that I am educating through every tool. I am not hiding the information. I am giving it away, along with the opportunity to learn even more.

People would not be able to see the value of the product or system if I kept everything behind an order page.

Why it is important to have so many options? Because once a person finds something that could solve their problems, they want to dive in and learn as much as possible.

With a variety of tools, they can see it, hear it, feel it, and take ownership of it. And each of these items points back and reaffirms the original message: buy Magnetic Sponsoring because it can help you grow your business.

I rarely spend money on advertising that does not have the ability to create instant and automatic direct response cash flow. In other words, I almost never advertise just for "leads" for my MLM opportunity like everyone else out there.

I can, and I do, but as soon as that person opts into my page, they are going to learn about, and have the opportunity to purchase a retail info product of some kind, whether it is mine, or another marketer's product I am selling.

I advertise retail information products which are sold through an online direct response sales page automatically, 24/7. This pays for the cost of my advertising which means I can advertise endlessly to my target market (other network marketers) for FREE.
Caution: BE VERY CAREFUL when it comes to making income claims on your websites or in your ads.

The bottom line is that you are on very shaky ground whenever you list any kind of income/production numbers. The best thing to do is consult an MLM attorney before you move forward if you insist on using those types of figures.

Whether you choose to take care of your own advertising and marketing or hire someone to do it depends on several factors including your budget, time and experience. If you are a new business owner or manager, it is probably a good idea to obtain assistance from someone who is experienced in the marketing field and knows exactly where to direct the advertising for your company. Of course, if you have a larger company, you may have a marketing department that does nothing else but take care of marketing and advertising needs.

If you choose to hire people to take care of the marketing for your business, you need to be sure to hire people that are not only experienced in marketing but in marketing the types of products and services that your company sells. If you choose to hire someone who has never done marketing for the products your company sells, it should at least be someone who is familiar with your product line. In other words, do not hire someone whose previous experience was in mens clothing and you sell auto parts and the applicant does not know a transmission from a carburetor.

If you are busy setting up your business or even simply busy running it, hiring someone to take care of the marketing end is advantageous. After all, if you do not have time to devote to marketing your business, then you can not ensure that you are going to be able to reach the target audience in order for your efforts to do the most good. Marketing in itself can be a full time job and you must be able to take the time to conduct searches in order to know where to target your efforts. Unless you are only working with customers, you need to change your tactics so that you are not always directing your marketing campaign toward the same group of people.

If you do indeed choose to do the marketing yourself, make sure that you gain enough knowledge to do it effectively and know exactly the target audience for your product or service. You can not expect to accomplish that if you do not have enough time to devote to it, so make sure that you are free enough of your schedule to devote some time to your marketing plan and then following through with it. Its important to develop an ongoing marketing plan not just a one time advertising plan. Advertising and marketing are ongoing and they will not be effective unless you continue to develop new strategy and formulate a plan for different sectors of your target audience. A marketing plan that does not do that is ineffective and will soon be void of any new leads. You want to avoid that at all costs.

When you start a home based business, it is essential to gain an edge over other competitors offering same products or services in the market. In order to attract customers to your site you will have to promote your site through advertisements. If you do not advertise, you will end with nothing done.

Even though there are great range of products in the market, new products and service are conceptualized day by day. Even if the quality of the product or service you offer is the best, it will not gain attention from the customers if you do not advertise. Without advertisement, there will be no sales and no revenue.

This is the reason why the companies spend millions of dollars over advertisements. A product, which is not advertised, can easily get lost in the competitive market.

The small-scale business establishments, personal trades and home businesses are often under constraints of advertisement budgets. However, it need not always be so because, nowadays advertisements that are both inexpensive and expensive are available to your choice and needs. The basic idea is to get the attention of the public.

Nowadays there is a definite trend for digitalization. You can create a domain with an attractive dot.com and file your site to free web directories. This can add great value to the products and services you are offering.

One effective method for advertising home based business on the Internet is to try shared advertising. Here you need to find out people who are also in need for product exposure at least expenditure, and merge your advertisement along with their product. This method gives definite benefit as long as you differentiate your product well from the others.

Shared advertising can be less expensive. Here you can be convinced that any surfer to come to visit the other product or service will definitely have a look at the one which you offer.

This method of advertising is very common on the Internet as they appeal to the same target audience. The more advertisers you share with, greater the exposure of your product.

The Internet has become the best choice for people to conduct business. There are many cost-effective methods for advertising through the Internet. Effective advertising methods are essential for promoting a product on the Internet because here the customers cannot virtually see and feel the product.

Using banners with good designs can prove effective. Well-designed banners can attract more attention from the customers and provide credibility to the product. Advertisement through ezines and blogs can also attraction the attention of the customers to a great extent.

Whichever method you follow, it is essential to see that the advertisements are clear and impressive. It should state all the qualities of the product in a clear and crisp manner to attract the attention of the customers.

A new development in the world of marketing and public relations is the advent of the optimized press release. An optimized press release can make its way to the top of Google and Yahoo! News in less than 24 hours for relevant keywords. Other optimized press releases stay perched on the first page of Google for six months or longer.

For those of us who've made a living distributing these informative little documents, the question is: Can there be anything new in the world about the venerable press release? Yes, thanks to Internet technology.

Exactly what is an optimized press release?

Optimized press releases are a relatively little-known development in the world of search engine exposure. Optimized press releases differ from regular press releases because they are written with selectively researched keywords embedded within the copy. The keywords target a specific audience and attract search engine spiders. The use of keywords drives traffic to a company's website and attracts potential clients and customers.

For another perspective, think of a skillfully written resume that teases the hiring authority into calling you for an interview. Likewise, the optimized press release teases the reader into clicking through to a company's website - a website the reader would never have located or known anything about without first being led there by the optimized press release.
Garden variety press releases are not keyword-embedded and are written for journalists' eyes only.

A press release that can reach the target audience without the filter of an editor or reporter? Who knew?
The news search engines are now major players in the dissemination of news. According to statistics captured over the course of one month in mid-2004, over 27 million Americans searched Google and Yahoo! News for information. Two years later, chances are this number has grown tremendously. Combined, Google and Yahoo news engines outpace CNN, The New York Times and Washington Post online news sources.

Another thing about optimized press releases - they live on Google for 30 days and on Yahoo News for up to two weeks, which is news in itself. How long does a press release live in a newspaper reporter's in-box? Not 30 days, probably not 30 minutes.

Some people say optimized press releases are a combination of art and science. The "science" is knowing how to research keywords and where to embed them. The "art" is the ability to write professionally and persuasively so the reader doesn't detect the adroit use of keywords placed in the copy.

The ideal result for an optimized press release is an increase in traffic to a company's website traffic that converts to sales leads and brand recognition.

Can every company benefit from optimized press releases? No. Optimized press releases do not perform miracles. If a company website is unattractive and poorly navigable; if its content is confusing and misleading; if the products and services it sells are overpriced and of low quality, and if the customer service is just plain bad - no amount of well-executed, skillfully-written and properly optimized press releases can do anything to boost revenues.

Optimized press releases are only one part of the marketing mix. However, if other elements of sound business practice are in place, an optimized press release can spread a company's message a large body of buyers in a way few people dreamed possible before.

------------------ ARTICLE START ------------------

Even if you are already running a successful business, you may be surprised to learn your business can benefit greatly from orchestrating an effective email marketing campaign. An email marketing campaign has a number of different advantages, including the ability to reach a worldwide audience, a variety of different marketing options at your fingertips, and the ability to do a great deal of advertising with very little investment dollars. We will take a look at all of these different topics to provide insight into how email marketing can benefit your business.

For many business owners one of the most prominent advantages to email marketing is the ability to reach a worldwide audience with minimal effort. While traditional marketing methods such as television advertisements, radio advertisements, and advertisements in print media are typically targeted at a rather small geographic area, email marketing can reach a worldwide audience. It is possible to reach an audience of this magnitude with other marketing methods but it would be much more complicated to do and would likely involve launching advertising campaigns in several different markets.

Conversely, the ability to transmit instantly via email can make it much easier to reach target audiences with literally just the click of a mouse. The act of creating the marketing materials for your email campaign is significantly more involved, but once this is done, reaching members of your target audience is quite simple.

Another advantage to email marketing is there are a multitude of advertising options available to those who wish to utilize this strategy. The most commonly used method of email marketing is to send out group emails with product information and other promotional materials.

Another way to approach the concept of email marketing is to publish and distribute e-newsletters to interested email recipients. An e-newsletter is typically much more in depth than the type of information which would normally accompany a promotional email.

E-newsletters typically feature at least one in depth article as well as a few shorter articles which either offer useful tips or review products. Additionally there may be some graphics, advertising and links included in the layout of the e-newsletter.

Email marketing campaigns can also take the place of email correspondence courses, which typically focus on one niche subject and feature a few installments that provide detailed information on a specific facet of the niche subject.

Finally email marketing can benefit your business because it is an extremely cost effective method of advertising. When you opt to orchestrate an email marketing campaign, you will likely invest money in hiring professionals such as writers and graphic designers to assist you in creating content and an appealing layout for your promotional emails. However, this is typically not more than you would invest in hiring the same type of personnel for an offline marketing campaign. Unlike offline marketing methods there is not a great deal of cost associated with executing your email marketing campaign.

Consider the creation of a television commercial where you will have to pay fees and purchase advertising space to allow your advertising to reach the public. When you transmit your advertising via email, there is virtually no cost associated with that transmission. There are of course costs associated with maintaining an Internet connection and retaining employees to send these emails, if needed, but these costs are minimal and can be considered a part of normal operating costs.

In conclusion, there are many reasons to advertise your business using email marketing campaigns. Your business will benefit greatly.

New businesses, whether online or offline, have to let people know they exist - which means advertising. In the world of Network Marketing, there are numerous ways to get free exposure, and start building the name recognition that will guarantee your long-term success!

Blogging - blog is short for web log, and is simply a venue for commentary and discussion on any subject you can think of. Publishing a blog is easy - go to Blogger, sign up and start writing! As a network marketer, you obviously want to write about your experiences - and then invite others to join in via other forms of free advertising. This great free exposure, but be sure not to play up on any lack of knowledge you think might be a deterrent to others joining in your discussion. Look for other blogs related to Network Marketing, and invite the author to trade links.

Article Writing - I submit articles for pay periodically. When I submit those articles, I make sure that I indicate that it is NOT for exclusive use - which means that I am free to publish the article elsewhere. I can then take the same material and submit it to article directories for publication. In fact, I use a service that submits my articles to multiple directories, but this is something that can also be done manually without too much effort. You can do a web search and find hundreds of article directories devoted to any subject under the sun.

The key is the resource box - when you submit an article, there is a special "about the author" section that you'll need to complete. Write a short (and complimentary) blurb about yourself, and include a link to your website. Remember that you are a network marketer, and image is everything. Even if you're not "successful" in whatever terms you feel are applicable, THINK of yourself as a Network Marketer and write about yourself in that regard.

Forum Marketing - there are too many forums out there to even start listing them. I recommend you do a Google search with subject+forum - choose any subject you like; there are thousands of things that are of interest to network marketers. Visit a couple of forums for ideas on what those subjects are, and then do more Google searches. The key to being successful is this arena is to find forums that have active, current and relevant postings and make a real contribution to the discussion. Blatant advertising will not bring the results you seek.

As with article marketing, the signature page (like a resource box) is where you will enter information about you and your business. Join 3-5 forums, and post to them often. Once a day would be ideal, several times a week at minimum.

Free ad spaces abound on the internet. I've used them with limited success, but considering the cost (free!) it is a good place to invest a little time when you're getting started. Simply conduct a Google search for "free classified ads" and several variations of the term, and select sites that look like they get consistent traffic - which will be evident if there are constantly new ads being placed.

While free advertising methods may not bring the same level of results as paid advertising, there are several advantages to using the methods outlined above. First, it's free! Second, if you've developed or are utilizing some method of tracking, you will start to learn what is effective in your advertising and will be ahead of the game as you move into the paid advertising spaces. It may be a little intimidating when you begin, but the trick is to get in the game and develop your skills without emptying your wallet!

The saturation of sites deliberately built for adsense revenue worldwide is increasing at a rapid rate due to the unbelievable power adsense has to earn the average person a worthwhile second and sometimes primary income. A new addition to the adsense earning idea that is still in its infancy is creating sites that indicate how much different adsense ad clicks are worth, and then display them on the site in large lists, along with the adsense ads next to them. The amount of different keywords on the site ensures the site will be seen by searchers and drive sufficient traffic, and the adverts are clicked in the hope of more information. Thus, the publisher of the site does nothing more than create keyword lists, using appropriate software, see what their value is worth and then post them onto a website or blog.

To do this has been previously difficult, or several sources of keywords and their bids have had to be joined together to create the keyword lists. With the release of keyword Elite, sites has been slowly appearing with these lists on them, and the publisher is making a fair amount of money due to the high click value of the keywords.

The process follows three basic steps:

1. Build a site (With ms FrontPage or a similar basic free site builder) or create a free blog with one of the many blog sites or wordpress.

2. Place some title and header tags on the site, and then create keyword lists with a Keyword creater - I use overtures suggestion tool - (check it in Google), which can then be copied and pasted onto the respective site.

3. Add adsense ads by signing up here and placing the ads on the site. 4.If you like , optimize the site by using a program for search engine optimization like the free version of Web CEO.

Google Adsense is now making some online entrepreneurs over $1 mil a year , and is fast becoming one of the easiest ways anywahere to make a buck. Saturation of Adsense sites , however , is becoming a problem , and Google is starting to penalise sites which have so called "junk content" and other deceptive means which publishers use to gain clicks.

Daisy chains of adsense sites are created by publishers looking to get traffic cheaply from PPC and then have users click on ads on the landing page which brings them a higher price.

Such sites are now being filtered out by Googles new adwords regiem. Under this regiem landing pages with little or no content and lots of adsense are being charged more and more as a minimum CPC , thereby weeding out these traffic "feeders". However , with the coming of MSN and Yahoo into the contextual advetising arena , this traffic swapping method may revive to a be a bigger money earner than ever before.

Email marketing is the art of introducing your product or service to the general public without being accused of disseminating SPAM. To this end, email marketing companies have sprung up which promise to handle your marketing campaigns and which will craft specific email marketing strategies germane not only to your product but also to your target audience.

You will need to make sure that you find a reputable firm with whom to throw in your advertising lot, since those who are on the slightly shady side of doing business will not shy away from sending your name, business information and contact emails to addresses derived from rather questionable sources, thus leaving you open to complaints of spamming which at best are embarrassing but at worst may result in loss of business and even lawsuits.

Email marketing further refers to the methodology of employing a number of winning strategies that have proven to work for other companies with a similar target audience. Quite possibly the most commonly used form of email marketing refers to the opt in form of email list subscription. An email marketing firm may in this case compose a monthly newsletter for you which are sent out in your name.

Together with a few articles or maybe some trivia questions there will be links to your products and sales offers. This form of marketing is perhaps the most commonly seen form since it not only permits you to remind current customers of your goods or services but if your newsletters are well crafted, the odds are good that they will also be passed on via emails by your customers to their friends, thus widening the circle of recipients that will see your ads.

Interestingly enough, email marketing is sometimes done in more surreptitious, albeit ethical ways, namely by means of the free online magazine. Consider the many niche magazines that have sprung up on the Net. There are the ones that cater to new moms, the ones that are made up for the car aficionados, the many which are crafter with hobby gardeners in mind and of course the ones that appeal to educators.

All of these are not only placed on websites but also emailed back and forth. Generally it is the niche that was created first usually by identifying a target group and a magazine was constructed around this niche. While in these cases your business will not be the only one that is being marketed, you may find that you are in quite reputable company, which in turn will serve to boost your reputation.

Sure, there are also other facets to email marketing but in answer to the question, what is it anyway, the only possible way to respond is simply to say that email marketing is the equivalent of the catalog of yesteryears that was avidly expected, looked forward to and then shared among friends and family.

A new breakthrough secret is all you now need in order to get your Google Adwords pay per clicks Free. A gentleman from New York discovered what he calls an oversight on the part of 99.9% of all marketers that allows him to get otherwise paid for advertising at Google as well as all other search engines that allow sponsored ads.

And no, nothing about his secret is illegal nor does it require that you know someone on the inside at Google, Yahoo, Msn, Overture and others. Instead, the New Yorker boasts proudly. This is something that I caught onto just before 2000 when there was so much search engine craze running around, and started doing small just to test things at first but which I later expanded on after getting the hang of it.

This same fellow went on to start and operate sixteen separate online companies selling everything from pet food, dvds, childrens toys & games, books, software, and sold not only his own manufactured products but became an affiliate for other web businesses all the while applying his mastermind secret.

Over the course of nearly eight years the New Englander confesses. I have actually gotten over $87 million in advertising that using my secret I never had to pay for and the largest share of which was more recently in Google pay per clicks as well as other forms of paid advertising at search engines all of which I got for free.

So powerful is his secret that he is able to monopolize any niche online, and can always secure the top premium spots just above the usual organic results featured at most search engines. He still has to set up an account with the search engines but after applying his secret he is removed from having to pay for all the costs otherwise involved.

Again, nothing about his secret is either illegal or robs from the search engines. One spokesperson from one of the most popular search engines said chuckling after being made privy to this amazing secret. This is really unique and in my expert opinion it would only serve to enhance and bring more business to us at no cost and not cause us to lose business in the slightest.

The northerner revealed that in this nearly eight years period of time since applying his secret he is done well over $300 million in sales revenue with a most diverse line of products, and most recently in the last two years netted nearly $166 million after really buckling down and pressing my secret to its fullest potential.

Now to everyone elses fortune, the city slicker is releasing his secret for getting an unlimited amount of pay per click ads to the general public. But he is not promising any of us for how long. A bit of an eccentric, the gentleman says. We will see just how long I can make it available before it saturates thing

One famous public web guru pointed out that although this man may gain economically more as a result of the publication of his secret. He is already so amazingly rich that whether he continues or discontinues, its sale will neither make nor break the man but not grabbing it for yourself while its still available could prove disastrous for you as you may only have one chance.

How does a freelancer get 50 percent of the fee up front?

One of my copywriting colleagues, Susan Fantle, asked me for a discussion of the topic since she had recently encountered some difficulties with clients. In her own words:

"I've been in this business for 23 years and only in ncentive the rush the check. So I send a final Invoice "due and payable upon receipt," instructing the payment to be sent via regular mail.

Since I work directly with the client, this arrangement works well for me, however you may need to be more flexible depending on whom you work with, or what market you're working in. For instance, ad agencies may ask you to collect 100 percent at the back end, especially if the job is small and fast.

For very large jobs, paying in thirds is also common. And small businesses may prefer to pay in thirds if their budget is tight (and it usually is). And then, of course, there are those pay arrangements that include bonuses or royalties, which you will most often find in the business-to-consumer side of direct marketing, among very large mailers.

Does anyone ever get paid 100 percent up front? The answer is yes, but I've seen it rarely. Recently one of my coaching students was paid 100 percent up front for a very small job worth $300. And another student was paid in the four figures from an entrepreneur, who obviously understood that the copywriter realized the risk involved with working with a risk-taking marketer.

My advice is to try for 50 percent, and if the client balks, proceed very carefully if you proceed at all. If the client has problems paying you now, before you do the work, it's a red flag. You're better off to say no, and spend your time marketing yourself to find a better client.

A Quick List of What Should Be in Your Contract:

- A very detailed description of the job, listing virtually
everything you will do
- A deadline for the work to be completed
- Revision terms
- Payment terms
- Late payment terms
- A description of what will be included in your services
- A description of what will not be included (interviewing
and creating testimonials, for instance)
- A policy on how change orders are handled (you charge more
if they make a significant change after work has been done)
- Ownership (you own the copyright until you've received full
payment)
- Indemnity (a legal disclaimer holding you harmless against
any legal charges such as libel and copyright infringement;
you don't need to add false advertising since you won't be
doing that anyway)
- An agreement for the client to share work samples and
results (so you can use them in your promotions)

Don't be so anxious to get the work that you fail to get a signed Fee Agreement and payment up front. Getting payment up front is an effective screen, and evidence that you are a professional.

Hiring a firm to help you with your branding is imperative to your company's success. Choosing the right branding agency is equally important. There are so many decisions to make and considerations so tread water lightly. Here are some things to consider when selecting a branding company.

There is one important decision you will have to make and that is developing your brand identity. It is by far the most crucial decision you will make. Your brand identity is how you want to be perceived in your market space. Any branding agency worth their salt will try and help you develop a brand identity that is targeted correctly.

If Volvo equals safety and Nike equals performance what will your company equal? This is critical. What will you stand for? What will be the soul of your company? These are then decisions your branding agency should help you with. They should recommend strategies and tactics that will help you leverage this brand identity and positioning in the marketplace.

So now you've made the decision that your brand identity will be to enrich the lives of your clients. Optimism is your new weapon and positioning. Take the Life is good brand; they are all about being optimistic and enriching people's lives. They are clearly positioned and their brand identity is set in stone. You want your brand identity to be set in stone as well.

A branding agency will help you clearly position. Using other companies like ad agencies or graphic design firms might be a bad idea. You want a firm that has no motivation to sell you any one specific tactic. Ad agencies want to sell media and graphic design firms want to redesign your logo and make pretty pictures. The most important thing to consider is the strategy to leverage your branding.

Now you need to execute the strategies and tactics necessary to leverage the new positioning. What you should do is make a wish list of tactics that will help you propel your branding. Start with a list of tactics that will not only bring your branding forward but also help to create sales. Choose the best tactics with the highest return on investment. Some of these tactics may be web design, search engine optimization, advertising, direct mail and more.

So those are some of the things to consider when selecting a branding agency. Remember your brand identity is at stake so choose wisely.

Developing a strong brand identity is the most important thing any company can do to develop its brand. It cannot get any simpler than that. Most organizations fail miserably at this very basic task though. Brand identity is how you want your company or products to be perceived. If you get this wrong it could lead to big time problems later in your brand image. So how does a company build its brand identity?

Start with performing some branding research. When was the last time you went out to customers, prospects and past clients and asked them what they thought of your industry? Do you really know what clients desires are? What about what they do not want? Do you know where they go first to find a company like yours? Are they going to the internet and doing searches or finding you in a trade publication?

Now you need to perform that same research internally with key employees. What do they think? How do they perceive the company? Is this in line with what you want your brand identity to be? Do you even have a clear identity? Do your employees know your brand promise? Is there a brand promise? Do you have a value proposition? Do they know what it is? If you have answered no to any of these questions you will need help!

Okay, so your research is done and you know what you want your identity to be. What do you do next? We recommend establishing a new positioning with that identity. If Volvo the automobile equals safety and Apple computer equals creativity what do you want to equal? It should be very clear and easy.

What are the next steps? Start with developing strategies and tactics that will leverage that new brand identity and positioning. They should all tie back to corporate objectives. Avoid wasting money on reactive marketing that gets you know where and wastes your marketing budget. Some of the tactics may include search engine optimization, direct mail, advertising, banner ads, e-newsletters, e-mail marketing, trade shows and much more.

It is imperative to choose the tactics that will benefit you the most. Do not waste money on advertising if you are only going to place two ads for the year. It will not work. Instead invest in tactics that will give you more bang for your buck like search engine optimization (SEO). SEO is a great way to build brand identity and increase sales.

As a clothes designer, you likely already understand the importance of your choice in clothing labels. Whether you are a small boutique, or a large multinational corporation, your clothing labels represent your business long after your products leave your warehouse. Your clothing labels present your name to your buyers and act as the ultimate form of long-term advertising for your clothing lines.

Once you have gone through all of the work to create a quality garment, nothing tops it off better than a good quality, custom clothing label! After garments have been purchased by someone who will be wearing them, the unique clothing labels go on to represent you as the maker. They are an excellent reminder to keep your company in mind for their future purchases.

Making the right clothing label choices for your garments is one of the biggest business decisions you will likely make for your clothing business. Though a label is relatively small, it has the potential to say a lot to your customers about your business and your quality standards. You want a high quality label which will stand the test of time. When someone asks one of your buyers, "Where did you get that amazing garment??" They can answer by showing them your high quality, still easily readable label!

Not all clothing labels are created the same way or with the same standards. There is a wide variation in fabric used, wide variation in size and even in style. Before you make the important business decision on which label will best suit your needs, it is vitally important for you to understand as much about the variety of clothing labels available as possible.

There are two basic categories of product and garment labels - printed and woven. Printed labels are often printed on materials such as satin, acetate, polyester, nylon and cotton twill. Printed clothing labels are available in a nearly unlimited supply of sizes, colors, and printing options. The one thing to look for in a printed label is a permanent ink which will last through the garment being repeatedly cleaned and through normal wear. The biggest advantage to printed labels is that they are less expensive than woven labels.

Woven labels are usually made of taffeta, satin or damask. Woven clothing labels are available in a nearly unlimited supply of sizes, colors, and printing options just as printed ones are. The major advantage to woven labels is that they will not fade during regular wearing and cleanings. The major disadvantage to satin and taffeta is that the labels can sag and often feel scratchy to the wearer. Damask and damask mixed fabrics are the most reliable and comfortable labels available today.

Clothing labels come in a variety of styles. You can find them in standard cut singles, rolls, with end-fold, middle-fold, or miter-fold. The right style is just as important of a decision as whether or not to use printed or woven labels. You will need to decide on where the labels will be used and which one meets your needs the best.

Once you have decided on the right label for your clothing, it is important that you find a reputable company to make your product labels. You should look for a company which is professional and interested in helping your business rather than just their bottom line. The ideal company will be ready and able to help you with making the tough decisions on which labels to use and how you would like them to look.

Your clothing labels present your name to your buyers and act as the ultimate form of long-term advertising for your clothing lines. Visit A B B Labels online at http://www.abblabels.com for more information on our wide variety of quality labels.

Anyone who has started a business will tell you that the most important part of the process is to market your business well. You could offer the best service around, but nobody will buy it from you if they don't know you exist. So the marketing you do should have the purpose of reaching as many people as possible, and giving them information that will stick with them. Therefore, next time they need your service, your company's name will come up in their head as a possible candidate.

A unique selling proposition (or USP) is a marketing concept that will work for any business if pulled off correctly. The idea is this: if you took your marketing material and switched your name with a competitor's name, would everything still apply? If you have a USP, this won't be the case, and you will be a unique and successful business.

First, you need to seriously analyze your business, and figure out what is so great about it. Why should people buy your service instead of going to a competitor? You need to give your marketing target a good reason. You should make some sort of promise in your USP, explaining how exactly you will make the lives of your clients improve. The bolder or more helpful the statement, the bigger impact you will make on the reader. Therefore, you should be as bold and daring as possible. Just make sure to be honest, and be sure that you are able to fulfill everything that you promise.

Once you've figured out the best thing that your business can offer, you need to phrase it in a way to sell it as best as possible. First, you need to make it clear that by buying your product or services, your client will get a very real and tangible result or reward. Again, it should be a unique result that is not offered by your competitors, and not just a small insignificant detail. Don't tell how exactly you are going to accomplish this - the statement should be extreme and vague enough to inspire wonder in your potential customer, causing him or her to say I wonder how they plan to do that!

The concept of the USP has been around for decades, and it is a very solid marketing concept. It is fairly hard to apply to modern businesses, since almost everything is offered by at least someone. But if you can think of a way that your business stands out from the rest because of its services, then you may be able to devise a good working USP.

There are many different ways to advertise your business on the Internet. Placing banner ads, orchestrating an email marketing campaign and tactfully mentioning your business on industry related forums and message boards are just a few of the popular options for Internet marketing.

Another Internet marketing strategy involves creating and advertising a website to promote your business. You can use your website in a number of ways. Some of these ways include providing more information about your business and the products or services you offer, letting potential customers know how to reach you and even selling your products and services via the website. This article will highlight the advantages of using a website to market your business and will outline some of the ways the website can be useful.

One great advantage to using a website to market your business on the Internet is that you can place descriptions and photos of the products or services your business offers. This is important because many consumers use the Internet when researching products and services. Having an online presence gives your business an advantage over the competition because consumers are much more likely to select your products or services over the products and services offered by your competitors who do not advertise online.

Another advantage to marketing your business online is you can use the website to not only market but also sell your products directly. Again this can give you an edge over the direct competition. Consumers who use the Internet to research products and services are often very anxious to make their purchases. They would be more inclined to select a retailer or service provider who offers the opportunity to purchase products or services online over a retailer or service provider who only allows for purchase in a store or via phone.

Still another advantage to using a website to market your business is the ability to reach a large, worldwide audience. The Internet essentially knows no boundaries and advertising on a website means the business owner can reach competitors around the world instead of being limited to their general location, such as television, radio and print media may be.

Another advantage to using a website to market your business is the Internet is available 24 hours a day around the world. This essentially offers you a storefront which is open 24 hours a day. While your competitors may be limited to their regular business hours, your website will enable you to reach your customers at any hour of the day. This is especially important for reaching potential customers in other time zones and for reaching customers in your own area who are simply too busy to shop for products or services like the ones you offer during regular business hours. Many potential customers work long hours and appreciate the ability to research and shop online after hours.

One final advantage to using a website to market your business is you can actually generate a profit from your website in other ways than through sales to customers. You can also use your website to generate income by selling advertising space to other business owners who are marketing their own products and services on the Internet.

Any new business needs a great marketing plan as a key part of its success. You could start the most brilliant business in the world and offer impeccable service and great customer satisfaction, but you'll never earn a cent if people don't hear about you. So when you first start out, much of your effort needs to go into marketing yourself. Once people start to hear about your business and the services you offer, then you will start to see an increase in clients. Before you even start the business, it's a good idea to come up with a marketing plan which lays out all of the strategies that you plan to use when promoting your business.

The marketing plan is a document that very specifically details all of the actions that will be taken to achieve marketing goals. It can apply for your entire business, or a new service you're offering. Usually it goes over the plan for the next 1 or 5 years. Most of the time, entrepreneurs will write the marketing plan at the same time that they are working on the business plan, since it is an integral part. A good marketing plan can mean the success of your business plan, and a poor marketing plan could ruin even the most brilliant business plan.

The first part of the marketing plan details the corporate mission of the business, which lays the groundwork for the marketing objectives that the plan is trying to achieve. The corporate mission is usually the subject of great deliberation and debate. It's very important for the future of the business, since it shouldn't constrict the business too greatly, while it should also give it a clear path to take when coming up with specific plans. Figure out the needs you will address, who you will address them for, and what resources you will use to address them.

After you've figured out your corporate mission, you will know exactly who you want to market to, and you'll know what needs you need to address. After that, your marketing plan is simply a matter of figuring out the best way to reach those people with your product's message. The marketing plan is a crucial document, and you should give it all of the attention it deserves. Companies often hire professionals to write marketing plans. If you feel like hiring a consultant for help, don't hesitate to do so.

------------------ ARTICLE START ------------------

Market research and consulting firm InfoTrends last month forecast strong growth for digital signage in North America for narrowcasting applications between now and 2011.

The research firm expects compound annual growth rate in the number of narrowcast digital signage screens of nearly 12 percent between 2006 and 2011. It also forecasts strong compound annual revenue growth of 18.5 percent for the period, attaining total revenue of $2.59 billion by 2011. For the sake of comparison, the narrowcasting industry was valued at $1.1 billion at the end of 2006 with an installed base of 630,000 screens at 97,000 sites.

The findings are part of a new InfoTrends report, "Narrowcasting: The Opportunity for Digital Signage and In-Store TV Networks," the third major study the researchers have conducted on this market.

Questions regarding the efficacy of using narrowcasting to deliver targeted advertising appear to be evaporating. InfoTrends reports that respondents to this year's study were much less concerned about the lack of measurement of ad program effectiveness than they were in its 2004 study. The researcher attributes the growing body of data showing narrowcast systems to be effective as the reason.

Additionally, the report showed that of the 51 current users of networked digital displays or in-store TV systems who responded to a structured survey for the report, 80 percent plan to increase the use of their network over the next three years, and the remaining 20 percent expect to maintain usage at current levels.

What's this all point to? Digital signage networks for narrowcast advertising are becoming part of the mainstream -not some sort of fringe experimental medium reserved for the daring and avant-garde. Rather than being seen as a risk in the eyes of media buyers, they are becoming an essential communications avenue for marketers and advertisers wishing to influence consumer spending decisions at the point of purchase.

It isn't particularly surprising that narrowcast digital signage networks are entering the mainstream. Put yourself in the shoes of advertising buyers and marketers who are witnessing a radical transformation of an advertising mainstay: television. Once a medium they thoroughly knew and understood, TV is moving away from a controllable, definable advertising proposition to one that's putting viewers in greater control of what they watch and when -most notably for this discussion, commercials.

Consider an article this week from the Denver Post trumpeting the fact that venerable ratings agency Nielsen Media Research has enhanced its tracking of TV viewers for the digital age. According to the article, viewing for one particular show after three days on a DVR was 108 percent of the live views of the same show. Sounds pretty good so far.

However, the article quotes a executive from Group M, a New York ad agency, as saying that many ad agencies have analyzed how viewers watch in delayed mode (i.e. via a DVR) and have determined that 60 percent skip the commercials. Viewed in light of the fact 18 percent of TV households have DVRs and more are on the way, and it becomes apparent that as so-called "live views" give away to "delayed mode" viewing, the number of viewers watching commercials will slide precipitously.

Narrowcast networks with digital signage displays positioned at the physical location where consumers decide to make a purchase don't give people the option of fast-forwarding past the commercial. For that reason alone, it wouldn't be surprising to see InfoTrends' forecast for digital signage narrowcast revenue growth and growth in the number of screens in North America exceeded.

Email marketing is labeled as a killer method when it comes to effective low-cost Internet marketing endeavors. This is because it is the most widely-used and has the best reputation in bringing targeted traffic to websites. It is used to stay in touch with your customers or prospective customers, send out invitations, or make special offers.

It's as easy as writing an e-mail that may be in a form of a newsletter or a plain announcement, and sending that to as many targeted recipients as possible. However, there's an ideal way of going about it. Email marketing is not just about writing any email that you will be sending to anybody. To clarify that, here are some simple tips in doing email marketing the best way possible.

1. Join the "Can Spam" campaign.

Email marketing is not at any rate tantamount to spamming. You are not supposed to send information that your email list will not have any valuable use for.

2. Make your email list open it.

Your email might get lost together with the hundreds of emails that inbox owners are confronted with everyday. Improve your subject line by using extra white space creatively, adding text symbols, starting each word with a capital letter, asking compelling questions, not making any unbelievable claims, and not using the word FREE.

3. Keep it real.

Not including any too good to be true statements is not only applicable to your subject line. Your email content must never embody any promise your business can't keep. Make your offer genuinely of value to your recipients.

4. Don't go too low.

If you inform your customers regarding discounts, minimal discounts are not that effective compared with substantial discounts. But never offer discounts that are lower than your profit. It will defeat the purpose of this email marketing effort.

5. Make it eventful.

It's not about contradicting the advice that you should keep an email short and sweet. This tip is on including seminars, conferences and other events in your email. Businesses that require training benefit much from this method. With these RSVP-requiring emails, repetition is important. Just make sure that an ample interval is considered before sending out a reminder email.

6. Post news.

Sending newsletters and postcards provides useful information for your subscribers. These are the best forms of reaching out to your customers or prospects. You should keep the information short, simple and direct to the point for this feat to be effective.

With these simple ways of going about your email marketing endeavor, your business will prosper in no time.

Every practice needs a website. A practice website is a 24/7 marketing machine for your practice. Before I ever took a class on marketing, I did not realize how much cheaper and easier it is to get clients from the Internet than from other forms of marketing. For the first two years of my practice, I got no referrals from my website. That is because, like most psychotherapist's websites, my site was not search engine friendly and no one could find it.

A website that is search engine friendly is particularly good for education based marketing. You can let others know what you are an expert in. Referral sources will start seeking you out and making referrals to you if you have a website that is search engine optimized.

The pro's of Do-it-yourself web design: It's inexpensive. It allows you complete control over your content. Search Engine Optimization: Most web designers do not design for Internet Marketing. You can easily optimize you page for your search terms.

I am a fan of do-it-yourself web design for private practice marketing since I started using Xsite Pro to design my pages. Now I can design professional looking pages with far more content than I could ever afford to pay someone else to do. It has become a hobby for me and I get a large number of referrals for my practice from my practice websites for very little cost. Since I spent the time learning how to do it, it has not been difficult to get my sites at or near the top of the search engines for the terms related to my practice. My websites are a source of many referrals for a very low financial investment.

The Con's of Do-It-Yourself Website Design:
It is time consuming. There is a learning curve. Self designed sites may not look as professional as some designers.

The problem with do-it-yourself web design is the learning curve and the time necessary to commit to it. I enjoy it. If you don't enjoy computers- you probably want to hire someone else to design the website for your practice.

The Pro's of Hiring a Web Designer: Easier and less time consuming than doing it yourself. You might get a prettier website. If you are careful to pick a designer who knows how to optimize your page and you spend the time researching what to optimize your page for, you might get a lot of clients from it. A web designer might know about tools you would have never found to grow your practice.

The Con's of Hiring a Web Designer:
There is a high likelihood they will know graphic design and not search engine optimization, leading to a site that can not be found and brings you no business. It can get extremely expensive. You can get charged what one coach calls "hostage fees". If you are not capable of changing and maintaining your own pages you may face an endless stream of on-going fees to do what you want with your site. When your site needs to be up-dated, even just to add a link, you may have to wait on your web designer.

Many designers know graphic design and know very little about marketing. Unless you take the time to learn about internet marketing and search engine optimization yourself, you are highly likely to end up spending a lot of money on a page that looks nice but very few potential clients will ever see. Be especially careful of designers who try to sell you a flash site or one that uses a lot of Java script. Designers who are focused only on the look of a page may tell you they are the best, but they are generally not appropriate for marketing. They can look stunning if done right, but they are awful for being found by search engines. I have known several professionals who got stuck paying a lot of money for sites that get very little traffic from potential clients or referral sources.

Recommended Resources for Hiring a Web Designer for Your Private Practice:

I think it is wise to attempt to learn some things about creating websites before hiring a web designer. If you want to maintain your site yourself and you have learned something about creating a website but want some professional help to make it look more professional, consider using Rent-A-Coder or Elance.

I have used Rent-a-Coder and Elance independent contractors for several projects and have been satisfied. These very large services have many thousands of independent contractors worldwide. You can find a US or international contractor by putting out a bid request. International designers, especially from third world countries, are generally much cheaper than U.S. designers if you want to outsource some design work. These services have an escrow service to insure that your independent contractor fulfills your request fairly before getting paid. You can hire designers on an ongoing basis to build and maintain your website, or for just for doing a certain portion of coding or script writing that is too advanced for you. You can also hire writers, search engine experts, graphic designers, and many others to help in your marketing.

Targeted website traffic is important for any interent business you are working on. There are many ways to generate traffic for your website. Trying to find the most effectiive way at the least cost is the key to getting your business profitable.

Classified advertising can be a free or low cost way to get your targeted ads out to create more website traffic. Write attention grabbing headlines with ad content that will entice the reader to click and go to your offer. There are hundreds of good classified ad sites that you can find on the internet for you to choose from.

Exchanging links is another way to get free or low cost traffic and boost your website ranking. You find other websites that have the same niche or subject area as you do and that are not in direct competition with you. Look for websites that already have a good ranking in the search engines or high page rank with Google. Ask the owner if he or she would be interested in exchanging links. This tends to be a bit more difficult and time consuming but getting these links is a necessity for building more traffic.

There are also many link exchange centers on the net that bring together other people in a coop looking to exchange links. These are set up in a categorized directory of websites where you can list your website with the others and exchange links. Stay away from "Link Farms" as many of the search engines disapprove of these and this will hurt your ranking. Sign up with the exchange centers that you can personally approach the sites you want and they can personally approach you.

Article marketing is another excellent way to increase your website traffic. Write your own articles and submit them to hundreds of article directories with a resource box and a link back to your website. These directories are used by thousands of newslettter publishers, ezines and webmasters looking for new content. This brands you as an expert when your article gets published by others and gets you back links coming into your site from the resource box.
Other ways to increase traffic is by joining forums, online communities and business social networks. You can put your website link in the signature file when you post comments. This also creates back links to your website.

By using all of this ideas on a regular basis you will be sure to increase the traffic to your website.

Are you thinking about having a film made for your business?

Here are some key questions you should ask yourself to ensure you get a video that works for you.

WHY DO YOU WANT TO MAKE A VIDEO?

Video is an excellent way to make an impact on your audience, to tell a story, to make them care about an issue, to empathize with a person or a cause, to make them aware of a product, or to show them something or how to do something, or even just to get them interested enough to find out about a subject in greater depth.

Video is NOT a a great way of presenting many facts and figures, a large amount of information or complicated arguments. Film and video evokes an emotional, rather than a rational response.

Do not try and shoehorn everything into a video. Use video in conjunction with other media to present your messages. Put up web pages or even micro sites where people can find out more about the issue or product having viewed the film.

WHAT IS YOUR MESSAGE?

Film and video is about communicating. Too often in corporate films the message is lost because people try and put too much information into the film. Be realistic and think about what effect you want the film to have on your audience.

Think about your audience. Ask yourself what is the exact effect you want the film to have on the them? Do you want them to immediately go out and buy your product or to change their behavior in certain ways or do you just want to raise awareness of an issue or a service that is available?

When you know what effect you want the film to have you should be able to very clearly define the 'message' of the film.

If you are trying to convince people to do something you have to ask yourself what are the barriers to them taking this action, how can I overcome those barriers using video?

Try and be realistic about how many messages you want to get across. What is the most effective way of using those precious minutes when you have the attention of the audience? Ask yourself how much information did you retain from the last film you watched?

Be focused. If you are very clear about what you want to achieve then it will be easy to isolate the key messages of the film.

WHO IS YOUR AUDIENCE?

By clearly defining your message you will also clearly define who exactly you want to reach with that message. You may find that there are several messages and each has a different target audience. Maybe it is worth creating different films to reach those different audiences?

These days this it is easier, and cheaper, than ever before - and it is also easier to target different viewers with bespoke content via email with links to a web page where the viewer can watch the film.

Respect your audience. Do not tell them things they already know. If you are not telling them something new they are not your audience. Surprise them and entertain them and they will be much more likely to remember your message.

HOW WILL THEY WATCH THE FILM?

Once you know who your audience(s) is/are you can start to think about how you are going to get them to watch the film.

Are you going to organize screenings? Are you going to launch a viral marketing campaign to drive your audience to a website? Are you going to pay for an advertising slot?

There is no point in making a film if no one is going to get to see it!

You should think about the distribution process right from the beginning, so that the producer can help you devise a distribution strategy so that your audience will see your film.

WHEN IS MY DEADLINE?

Maybe it is a product launch, publication of new research, an annual meeting, a conference or an exhibition, there is probably an ideal time for you to show the finished video for the first time.

It helps everyone to have a realistic deadline to aim for, not just for completion of the film, but also for all the associated marketing.

Maybe you can coincide the launch of your film with some related news event that will spark interest in your product or service? This is also a good way of coordinating a multi-platform launch event with print, web, and DVD elements.

If there is a genuine news angle to your film then local newspapers news stations can be very receptive to well produced press packs (press releases and professional photos) and video news releases (basically footage from your film which they can use to make into a feature).

WHAT IS MY BUDGET?

When you are budgeting think about related costs too. Try and be pragmatic about what return the video is going to make. It is a significant investment and you need to think creatively about how to get value for money. Are there other departments or organizations that could co-produce the film?

Be aware that as in any industry you get what you pay for. You will not get professional results from amateur camera work or editing.

There are always many different ways to make a film or video, different shooting formats of different qualities. If you are shooting an advert for the cinema you will need to shoot on a different format than if your advert is only ever to be seen on the Internet.

If your budget is set then it is worth telling a prospective producer from the beginning, as they will be able to tell you what you can do for that amount rather than giving you irrelevant quotes that will just discourage you.

When you have the answers to the above questions you are ready to approach a producer. Their job is to propose the best ways to convey your message to your audience within your budget and time frame.

A good producer should respond to your enquiry with a written film proposal, a draft budget and some examples of previous work.

Text link advertising has helped many websites get traffic including from search engines. It can have some pitfalls though if you do it wrong.

Here are 6 things to think about before you buy a text link ad.

1. A text link ad is a keyword phrase hyperlinked back to another page. For example if your website is about music downloads you could buy a text link ad for that phrase.

2. Look at how your ad will be displayed. Your ad can be good for traffic as well. Try and get on a page or website that gets a lot of traffic. This will give you a chance to get a few visitors clicking on your ad as well.

3. When you buy an ad look to buy one on a web page that is a PR3 or higher. This is Googles' ranking system for the worth of a page and it helps improve your own page rank when you are on a page that has good page rank. How much you pay will be determined by the page rank of the page your text link is on, but a PR5 will cost more than a PR3. You could pay anywhere from $50 to $150 a month for a quality link.

4. Another thing is to link to pages other than your home page. This is known as deep linking and it is important not only for how your site is viewed by the search engines but also for the traffic it can bring you. People will search for multiple versions of a keyword and you want to come up on as many searches as possible.

5. One text link will never hurt you with a search engine if it is on one page. If the ad you buy and it ends up on hundreds of pages for the same keyword you should make sure you are getting linked back to your website for other keywords as well of it could appear you are spamming the search engines for your one primary phrase.

6. Buy text link advertising for the long haul and it can really give you some good traffic and search engine rankings. Buy it for one month to get spidered as soon as possible if you website or blog is new.

This is 6 reasons text link advertising can be good, or may not be for you.

Jeff Schuman invites you to visit his website and buy a text link ad. He is on page one of Google for over 1200 different keywords and your ad will be on his home page and over 1000 blog posts. http://www.Team-Schuman.com/advertise-on-team-schuman.html

As you will find, there are many benefits to submitting your articles to ezines. Listed below are ten of them.

1. First, you will brand your web site, business and yourself by submitting articles to e-zines. You could include your name, business name, your credentials, web site address and e-mail address in your resource box. By doing so, people can easily find out about you and what you offer, as well as making it simple for them to contact you.

2. You will become known as an expert on the topics you write about. This will give you and your business extra credibility, which will help you compete against your competition. By building trust and credibility you will be ahead of others.

3. Another benefit of submitting articles to e-zines is that your article might also be placed on the publisher's home page. If they publish each issue on their home page, this will give you some extra exposure. No matter what kind of business you have, you still need exposure!

4. You also might get extra exposure if the e-zine publisher archives their e-zine on their site. People might want to read the back issues before they make the decision to subscribe. This is a very important feature. People subscribe at different times. Even though they may not join you the first time does not mean that they will not subscribe when the opportunity is presented again,

5. One of the most important benefits of submitting articles to E-zones is free advertising. This will allow you to spend your profits on other forms of advertising. You could buy advertisements in other e-zines that do not publish your articles. You could also place google adword campaigns. By advertising for free and putting those profits into other forms of paid advertising only increases your sucess rate.

6. You might get extra income from people wanting to hire you to write other articles, books, or even ask to speak at seminars. This is a great way to multiply your income.

7. You could allow e-zine publishers to publish your articles in their free e-books. Since people give them away, your advertising could multiply all over the internet.

8. You will get your article published all over the web when you submit it to an e-zine publisher that has a free content directory on their web site. They'll allow
their visitors to republish your article.

9. You'll gain people's trust. If they read your article and like it, they won't be as hesitant to buy your product or service. You will then be able to increase your profits.

10. You could get your article guaranteed to run in an e-zine. You could agree to run one of their articles in your e-zine if, in exchange, they run yours in their e-zine. It's a win/win situation.

Ever heard of affiliate programs? These are forms of Internet advertising that rewards the affiliates for heading toward clogging to the advertiser or for other transactions. The advertiser pays the affiliate to place a link on their website, and the affiliate sends traffic to the advertiser in return. Simply put, it's about estimable commissions to people who help you make sales. It's that easy. NOT.

Affiliate marketing has its ups and downs. It could be draining if you are not armed with updated information and the technical how-tos. But this article's isolated objective is to reach out to you and not to badmouth affiliate sharing.

Here are some theories on why web marketers go gaga over affiliate programs.

1. Low cost

Folks are scared to start a home-based business because of the capital required. In affiliate marketing, you don't have to spend much to start raking in big green. A lot of affiliate programs can make big cash in a hurry using only free methods.

2. Inventories not included

Product management fuss can be very stressing. An inventory is not asked to be sitting pretty in the affiliate's basement, nor does the affiliate have to dish out cash to buy the products at wholesale to resell. There's no product in the affiliate's hands, all he or she has to do is promote the vendor's stuff.

3. Comfortable income through leverage

When you have a paid job, your monthly income mainly relies on whether you go to work or not. With affiliate marketing, your affiliates could all just lead surplus to your site without having to lift a finger. From time to time the web marketer earns limitless, since it is a life that matters to the advertiser and Internet marketer. Hours are flexible so people can start for just and hour or two each day while they continue their full time job.

4. Go worldwide

Hot for affiliate marketing, you are getting carried away with a global bull market place. All you have to do is choose a niche product and support all the necessary tools for your affiliates to sell from just about anywhere to your website. The business owner doesn't particularly care where the buyer came from as long as the customer is real and pays. There's no boundaries to affiliate marketing online.

5. Low risk

The very cause for Internet marketer's enthusiasm with affiliate marketing is its having a low risk factor. Especially for those with a good deal set aside for advertising, affiliate marketing is entirely the way to do it. Almost every affiliate program is free to join so people can start promoting products and services with high quality paid services like Google Adwords. The affiliate is also not resposible for customer support and doesn't have to deal with updates or refunds.

6. No last time

With affiliate marketing, your business works every designated second of the day while attracting a worldwide market! Why would anybody give up automated streams of income? The smart affiliates know that by building a list of highly targeted prospects in their niche that they can offer related products and services to their buyers over and over again. Most niches are hobbies or specific interests full of fanatics who will buy time and time again.

But all of this will go to waste if you don't have the right niche product and all the other great tools to make it big in affiliate marketing, i.e., search-engine-friendly-website. So better work on that first before ever considering those additional benefits.

In the 20 years that I have been in advertising, oftentimes than not, clients approach me having absolutely no idea how to begin their project nor what is entailed.

Having had come from the 'pre-computer generation', quality has always been my main concern as well as developing relationships and educating each client. With technology moving so quickly, design firms are truly a 'dime a dozen' and the most common question: 'where on earth do I find a firm who will not only deliver what I need but, more importantly, where do I find someone I can trust?'

As in any field, there are basic rules to know before 'you can run free' and many of the fundamental rules of yesterday still apply strongly today. The only difference between agencies of today and yesterday is that 20 years ago typically an advertising agency was filled with mechanical tables, drawing boards, tracing pads, ruling pens, stat cameras, pica rulers, etc., but deadlines were always met, good design was enforced, and quality was always the main concern. For those of us who survived the 'computer transition' that truth remains today.

Understanding the confusing process of acquiring and trusting a good design firm, I have decided to compile some basic guidelines for the non-professional to learn before committing to any agency or publisher. In this field, unfortunately, ignorance is not bliss, and I have seen too many people being taken advantage of over and over again because 'they didn't know the drill' nor that they had 'the right' to interview a design firm before any commitment was made.

An ad campaign, corporate identity make-over or book design should never be a 'nightmare' experience with any design firm and hopefully, this article will educate the inexperienced to be better equipped in choosing the right person for their project.

First Things First: What Is Design?
Design = Perception = Communication.
Graphic Design: a combination of words, pictures and concepts creating visual communication.

The word design is both a verb and a noun. Thus design is both an action and a product. Designing is a process organizing the various aspects of a work--line, space, light and color, texture, pattern, time and motion--creating a unified communication product. One
can recognize in the finished process of its organization, composition and message.

Of all the arts, graphic design comes closest to meeting us in our contemporary daily life. We interact with graphic design on a constant basis. Many of our encounters with graphic design are even unintentional; we do not often seek out graphic design the way we might seek to view other art forms in a gallery or museum. This fact gives graphic design an unequalled opportunity to inform, persuade, delight, intrigue or compel us.

Much of graphic design involves designing materials to be printed, including books, magazines, brochures, packages, posters, and imagery for electronic media. Such design ranges in scale and complexity from postage stamps and trademarks to billboards, film,
video, and websites.

Graphic design is a creative process employing art and technology to communicate ideas. With the control of symbols, type, color, and illustrations, the graphic designer produces visual compositions meant to attract, inform, and persuade a given audience. Under the skilled guidance of a graphic designer, a message becomes visual, transcending words alone.

Graphic design is a crucial ingredient for the success of any project or business. Graphic designers are professionals who provide a critical service needed by businesses of all sizes and at all stages.

They create a face to your company. They develop credibility and a personality for your brand. All industries are crowded with competition, and your company's brand is what sets you apart and distinguishes your service or product as unique, memorable and desirable.

An experienced graphic designers' goal is the communication of a specific message to a group of people, and the success of a design is measured by how well that message is conveyed.

Think of Professional Design Is An Investment For Your Company
Graphic Design is not 'playing'. Graphic Design is a business tool that exists to enhance communication of ideas, messages and thoughts. A professional design firm knows the importance of turning clients into partners in the process and show them how to see design as an investment for their long-term business goals. Design firms need to think more like consultants and less like Wal-mart: "Attention All Customers: brochures can be found in isle 3, Websites found in isle 8... "

A designer should always consider the client and the business goal the project is meant to achieve. Increase knowledge for a new product? Gain entry into a new, key market? Enhance the company's branding to attract more upscale clients? Perhaps in finding the answers to these questions it will be revealed that a media kit is a better solution for the client. A DVD presentation? An Infomercial? Perhaps a website? Maybe a combination of all of the above?

A professional designer will listen more and perhaps learn more about their clients' business and goals and involve them into the PROCESS of their design. When discussing a series of ideas, a design firm should talk about the merits of the design as it relates to their clients business. The logic of the color scheme in the context of their branding goals needs to be discussed.

It is impossible to build a partnership without trust. Clients need to know and feel that the designer they have chosen to work with has the client's interests at heart. If the client makes a suggestion that the designer knows or believe to be counter productive to the overall project goals, it is important to let them know why their suggestion is impractical.

Finally, a design firm should maintain their personal satisfaction for private ventures--their goal is to serve their clients satisfactorily. A client once told me about a designer he worked with in the past who INSISTED that the client cut copy on a brochure they were designing.

When this client inquired why it was so important to cut the copy, the designer informed him that his layout already worked perfectly with the Greek text that had been in there previously during the comps phase. The real text that the client had submitted was too long and would require an extensive re-work of his layout. The clients' only response to the request was one that would make Donald Trump proud-- "You're FIRED!"

One Last Thing...
It is my strong belief that experience and knowledge surpass any latest computer software program. As with anything, if the programmer does not know what to program, the computer is a useless tool. However, extensive knowledge and talent added to the computer creates the dynamics that are powerful.

The best to each of you and may your journey be enlightening, encouraging and educational!

As a professional branding consultant working for a branding agency I am always amazed at the lack of knowledge of ad agencies or marketing companies when it comes to branding. Sure, they all say they do branding but saying a buzz word does not make it so. All they really care about is doing what they do best. Media. That is right, they buy and sell media. That is how they make their money and what they are concerned about. So when considering an agency consider what ultimately motivates them.

Another big disadvantage that ad agencies have compared to a branding agency is their short term thinking. Sure they come up with funny and witty TV commercials that make you laugh but they are extremely short lived. A true branding company thinks long term and how actions internally and externally affect the brand. For instance you may have seen the new ASK search engine TV campaign that features Kato Kaelin. That was obviously done by an ad agency that could care less what the long term effects are on Ask's brand. Of course the customer approved that ad and should be ashamed.

How many TV commercials do you see that require you to scratch your head in amazement? These were all produced by ad agencies that have no real branding knowledge. A branding agency would not make these mistakes. Short term advertising is not part of the tactics a branding firm would recommend. Everything is done according to the strategy and brand identity of the client.

So why is that important? Building your brand identity is the most important thing you can do for your company. It is what differentiates your company from all your competitors. It is what makes your employees stay with your company or draws perspective candidates to your company. It is what reduces your marketing and advertising budget. Brand identity is the driving force behind your company. It will also help to develop your brand image in the marketplace which is what you are after.

When deciding on hiring a branding agency or an ad agency consider what is important to you. If you are just looking to make a quick hit in the marketplace then an ad agency may be the way to go. If you are looking to develop a long term integrated branding strategy then hiring a branding agency will be a smart decision for you and your firm.

Every so often in Overture, a keyword suggestion tool, you will see the millions of searches done to numerous keywords. Often these keywords are typed on search boxes of search engines, indexed websites containing articles filled with those keywords will be displayed. And notably is that it leads traffic to websites with keyword-rich articles. Yes, the magic word is articles.

Content is king. You can say that again. That is why writing articles is one of the most utilized Internet marketing media today. Internet surfers just can't get enough of information on specific fields. Writing and submitting these articles is a certain way to drive hot traffic to your web turf.

Here are the benefits that writing articles can give your Internet business.

1. It's absolutely free.

Too incredible to be true? Not. Okay, you have to pay for your Internet Service Provider. That's it. All you need is your thoughts, your computer, and your hands. If you take advantage of those, nothing will stop you from typing words that will complete that article for your website. On which aspect of that process did you really shell out any cent? Feasibly later when your electric bills come. There is software and services available to facilitate the writing and publishing of articles, but no money required to start.

2. Your website friendliness will be noticed in a short period of time.

Submit that article of yours to directories that get the most web traffic and with no installment payments your web friendliness will be crawled. That is if you don't forget including your resort box or byline. By getting your aricles included in big directories like EzineArticles and published on major sites like Squidoo, the search engines will find your site quickly.

3. Obtain back links automatically.

Irregularly as you submit your articles to directories, other websites will enact use of your article too. Including one's profile in your articles, the URL of your website should still be in reach and will subsequently direct over crowding to your website. You'll get backlinks from major sites like the article directories, plus any sites or blogs that pick up your articles are required to maintain your backlinks as well.

4. Improve your standing.

As an Internet marketer, if you only position your articles on your website, you will stay on the treadmill. Conversion is when your traffic converts to sales. You have to convince that you are knowledgeable in your field. And absolutely the greatest way to show that is by writing articles that will allow you some bragging rights, favorably?

Just make your creative juices flow and overcome failure or key in those ideas quickly to jumpstart your article writing spree. Granted those benefits listed are impeccable, a dummy's block is the last problem your mind should ever need to surmount.

Are you tired of Ad agencies and graphic design firms taking your money with little to no return or long term affects? Have you considered hiring a real branding agency. A true branding company will provide a lot more than a traditional ad agency or graphic design firm for sure.

Let us talk about what a branding agency can do and the long term results you could receive from them. First off a real branding firm will evaluate not only your external branding and marketing efforts but also your internal efforts. You will not find that with an ad agency or graphic design firm. Internal branding is as important if not more important.

Internal brand building can be done in many different ways. The first thing you should consider is interviewing your employees. This is where an outside company can really help. If you select to use an outside branding agency they will be able to get honest, real answers to the questions that are posed to them. This will be a big help to your company moving forward with your marketing efforts.

Once you have interviewed your employees you will want to analyze the data and understand what is happening in your company. Do they understand your brand identity? Do they provide good customer service? Do they know what your brand promise is or your value proposition? If they do not then as a company you need to do serious work.

Start with explaining to your employees what your brand identity is and your positioning. If Volvo equals safety what do you equal? Once you have decided on that put together a plan to communicate to your employees. Some of the tactics you may want to consider are and internal newsletter, employee appreciation programs, Awards, box lunch and lunches brought in. A customer service plan of action will be high on your list.

A branding company will help you in your efforts to shape up your internal strategy. This will not be an easy task but one of the most important strategies you put in to place. It will get everyone steering the ship in the right direction. Once this is accomplished then you can consider your external marketing and advertising efforts.

So in conclusion hiring a branding agency could be the best investment you could ever make. They can help with your internal efforts as well as your external efforts. Certainly you will be moving forward in the right direction and making the right moves.

When it comes to generating traffic to your website, how you go about marketing it can make the difference of you having success or throwing the towel in early. Think about it this way; if you do not advertise your website, how do people know that you even exist? This is why it is vital that you spend a great deal of time selecting how you are going to market your website, and then following through with your plan.

The first step to advertising your website is developing a plan. Within your plan, you have to plot out every little detail. Who is your target market that you are promoting to? What kind of marketing are you going to do to appeal to your target audience? How much is it going to cost for you to advertise? These are just a few of the many questions you have to ask yourself when developing a plan.

Once you have your plan, you need to begin researching on how to fulfill the plan. Posting in forums and talking with people within your industry is a great place to begin. Ask for advice and what you can do to have success with advertising your website, because everyone started where you are at. And there are many people that are willing to help you go from rags to riches online.

Deciding who your target audience is should be fairly easy. If you have a gardening website, your target audience probably is not teenage guys. It is certainly possible to have a website that has many target audiences, in which case you will want to market to a broad audience.

When you begin to determine what kinds of advertising you want to do for your website, take a look at what kinds of advertising is free and what kinds you have to pay for. For instance, posting in forums and submitting articles to article directories is great free advertising. It gets your link out on the internet while also allowing you to display your knowledge.

Paid advertising will give you much quicker results, and can be more effective. There are several ways you can pay for advertising, and one of the more popular methods is buying your way up the totem pole on search engines. If you can get in the top two or three searches for a specific keyword in the search engines, your website will be displayed to thousands of visitors each day.

There is no secret behind the fact that marketing can make or break your business. Certainly there are other facets that can do so as well, but it is advertising that brings visitors to your website to begin with. As soon as you put together a promising marketing campaign, you can begin to determine what kind of success you will have in the long run.

If you recently decided to try implementing an email marketing campaign, congratulate yourself on becoming involved in one of the most effective types of online marketing for your business. While many business owners tend to shy away from email marketing campaigns, because most campaigns are viewed as spam, others realize the importance of this type of advertising and are willing to spend a great deal of time and effort organizing their campaigns. These business owners will likely find they are able to enjoy an advantage over their competitors who have not implemented an email marketing campaign.

One of the first elements you should consider when you make the decision to start an email marketing campaign is the type of information you wish to include in your emails to potential clients. This is very important because the information you provide will help your email recipients to determine whether or not they think your products or services are worthwhile.

You can include a variety of information in marketing emails. This may include, but is not limited to, full length informative articles, short articles enticing readers to visit your website for more information, links to other websites which may be of interest to your readers, links to your own website and even advertisements for your products or services as well as other products or services your customers may appreciate.

Once you determine the type of content you wish to incorporate into your email marketing, it is time to consider how you want to structure your email marketing efforts. Two of the most common structures include an informative email with subtle advertising or an in depth e-newsletter with a wealth of information, as well as some subtle advertising and even some graphics.

Deciding on the format of the emails you will be sending is important because this will dictate the staff needed to assist you in your email marketing efforts. You may require the assistance of a professional writer to help you with the content in either emails or e-newsletters. If you opt for an e-newsletter, you should also consider hiring a graphic artist to help you in designing an attractive layout and creating graphics for an appealing layout of your e-newsletter.

Next you should consider how you plan to create an email distribution list. This is important because simply purchasing an email list is not likely to be effective. You may reach hundreds, thousands or even millions of Internet users by sending emails to all of the members of this email list but there is no guarantee any of them will have an interest in your products or services. However, if you build your own email list of potential customers who have specifically requested additional information, you will have a well formulated list which includes mostly members of your target audience. This is ideal because you are much more likely to sell products or services to members of your target audience than you are to sell products or services to members of an email group who might not be interested in what you are offering.

Once all of these preliminary decisions have been made, you can begin to create the actual emails themselves can begin to distribute them. Once you have sent out your first batch of emails, you can take some time to evaluate their effectiveness before you send out the second batch. This will be useful because if you determine the first batch was not very successful you can solicit feedback and make changes to the second email before sending it out. If the second email is more successful than the first, you can conclude the changes you made were beneficial.

Email marketing campaigns can provide you hundreds of potential customers. If organized properly and prepared effectively, you can really boost your online business. Give it a try!
